Grr, I dunno if it's just my display/contrast settings but I never even noticed that was a hyperlink in your post until I replied... It's almost exactly the same colour as the rest of the text.
I wouldn't. I was just saying that computers usually do have internal USB ports of a kind if you need to connect devices internally. I imagine it could be useful for things like copy protection dongles and things like that that you wouldn't want to be stolen from an office computer.
In regards to eSATA: I prefer it over USB, as any sane person would; but I have encountered a few problems regarding hot swapping in the past
Err... Current computers DO have internal USB connectors. Most motherboards have several USB headers for connecting to external ports, these have 2 ports each. You can connect usb devices internally directly to them (obviously with a modified cable/simple adapter).
Oh please. Most offices I've been in run 2003 or higher. Office 2003 supports docx via a compatibility update that was released for it after Office 2007 came out.
So you can read docx files in Open Office? Interesting how everyone here is carrying on that no other office suites support these formats.
The freetards are all alike. If it was the other way around and the government had mandated an Open Source format/application to be the only thing allowed they'd all be cheering. Sounds like a double standard to me.
OMG the big bad government mandated that all internal documents have to be in a common format that is used by the majority of the corporate world! OHNOES the evil bastards! This is an outrage!
You're lucky. The last purchase I made from DX took over a month to get to me. But then that could have something to do with being in Far West NSW, the post is sometimes a bit slow out here. But still; 1 and a half months is shocking for such a small delivery IMO...
That aside I do love DX. I've found some great bargains there. Sometimes the quality leaves a lot to be desired but at such low prices you can't complain.
I came into this story just to see all the pro-marijuana conspiracy theories posted by the pothead slashdotters... I wasn't disappointed, surprise surprise.
You can get around this with the Win 7 Upgrage version. I installed it on a blank hard drive and it wouldn't let me activate. So I booted from the Win 77 install dvd again and chose upgrade then chose the existing clean installation of Win 7. After that it lets you activate.
No; it's just more vapourware from another company that's licenced the Commodore brand... I can remember reading over the past few years of a modern C64 type Commodore branded system and Commodore branded netbooks. Nothing came of those. So far the only actual Commodore branded products I know of that have actually been produced are PC cases.
I'm looking at the Commodore website at the new Amigas and C64's that are supposedly coming out now. As you said, all that is on there are 3d mockup images- no actual hardware photos.
I'd love it if they actually end up producing any of this hardware. I'd gladly buy one of the Amiga systems or a C64 but I am not holding my breath. I bet this is the last I hear of it, just like all the other Commodore products that have been announced over the last 5 years or so.
Am I the only person in the world that's still using Omniweb? It has a great tab management system which is similar to opera, it has the workspaces feature which is great and an awesome bookmarking system. If only the Omni group would dedicate a bit more time into keeping it up to date though...
Most of the people I see complain about iDevices not having flash are bored housewives whose whole life is Facebook. Can't play Farmville without Flash...

Is there actually anything to mine there? Isn't it just ice???
14.7 million people obviously disagree.
Like this has never been done before
Go to bottom of Google search page. Click the link that says "go to Google.com"...

Have they replaced the Bill Gates borg icon with one of Ballmer throwing a chair yet?

I also forgot to add that I've seen USB interface cards with actual internal ports on them. And my old G4 Mac had internal firewire ports.

I do 8 hours a day. That's enough to make me need a drink at the end of every day.

He STOLE and he's being charged with it. Just because there was something wrong with the software in the machine doesn't excuse what he did.

Or like, maybe, you could just not buy sweets to begin with. Can't eat them if you don't have them...
Just discovered this while browsing through their news section, an actual prototype:

Which appears to be phtographed on somebody's dining room table...

Analog TV is being switched off in some places in Australia already, not 2013... It's being shut off in my town on December 14th.
I thought the Dreamcast had a dial up modem...
Err, people who buy it cheap overseas to bring home.
