Back on topic. I support the science to the utmost because I really want to know what makes this universe work. Yes, I do believe this universe was created by God. Doesn't change my thirst for knowledge about it. I'm a back yard mechanic, so I know how to pull an extra few mpg out of my car both with tinkering and driving responsibly.

On the other hand, auto makers could easily include dashboard indicators of when your MPG peaks and drops near the tachometer. A lot of cars are being equipped with these systems, which is good. I think there is more that could be done. Maybe three colors on the tach. One for redline, one for "past peak efficiency" and the other for peak efficiency. After that we met sparingly because he was always trying to drag me into a theological discussion with the ultimate goal being my conversion. After every discussion he was threatened with disassociation because he'd ask questions about what I had to say. I had done a lot of research on the JW church and its origins and decided that it was a cult (sparked by his interest in them), and told him that he'd know if he was being asked to do something that wasn't right, after all, we're each our own person.

He's still in the church and still actively attempts my conversion. I'm convinced that the three or so years was his training so that they wouldn't have to worry about him leaving the church. Also, it's very difficult to question the validity of about 20,000 extant copies of the original Gospels and Epistles, meanwhile, there are no existing supporting documents for the "Book of Mormon" or their translation of the bible.
