  1. Reminds me if my childhood, growing up near MacDill AFB. I should dig out my copy of Alas Babylon for my daughter to read.

Exactly! Unless you're already there, it's totally pointless to go somewhere. Better off to just stay in your cave near the savannah. The rains are certain to return this year and no doubt the fruit trees and vegetables will return as well. Those others that moved off and started hunting animals? FOOLS!

    There's also Goodnight Keith Moon:

    In the great green room
    There was a telephone
    And a dead Keith Moon
    And a picture of
    Townshend jumping over the Moon

Probably better to wait on this one.

Are any of the Disney Comics around? Scrooge McDuck with Hewy, Dewy, and Louie were an early face of mine. Also, what anout Richie Rich? There's also Impson comics but maybe notat 3 years old.

With my daughter, I introduced her to collections of old Super Girl and Wonder Woman at 4 years old. She's now into Young Justice, Teen Titans, Girl Genius and Dr. Horrible/Firefly.

There's no skill in polishing. It's all about holding up a clunky rock and expecting people to beat a path to your door. Making it attractive and comfortable and fun to use is just useless fanboi marketing techniques. No skill involved there. Thats why everyone does that and there's only a couple companies out there that make new stuff.

Oh, sure, the first time something new's put down on paper, it's hard, but now that the formula's out there, swords and sorcery is easy. The real trick is to come up with something new, like Shadow War of the Night Dragons (first book in a five to seven book trilogy). Now this is a work of art that hardly anyone on the planet would dare try to make but man, here it is.
