    Heh. Started BBS'ing with an ancient handset modem with my TI but not having a disk drive, just cassette, didn't do much.

    Once I got a Mac had a Delphi account. Back then, with a Mac, had to purchase TCP software, Telnet, etc. What a pain.

    And you try to tell young people this and they won't believe you!

    I think I got my Ti99/4A back in 80 as well. Limewire was so late '90's college students who hand't heard of usenet.

    Naw! At a certain level, once you stop actually physically producing an item or providing a service to a customer and generating income, you are no longer bound by the constraints of 'performance' or 'results'. Instead, you get 'bonuses' and 'profit sharing'.

    I've used the TV Tuner on my Mac server to stream live tv to my iPhone over 3G. It worked pretty well. I only have access to the 70 odd analog stations, though. Tuner can't get Comcast's digital stuff.

    AT&T's helping me not use up my bandwidth by not having any signal within 5 miles of my house. But they did offer to piggy back their signal on my network connection, for just $150.

    Gee, AT&T is nice!

    You forgot the Apple Color Laser Writer. Every Kinkos got one but that's the only place I ever saw them. Was like a cubic yard of pain.

    Yup. Even at work (remote tech support), I've gone from trying to answer every call and work as many problems at once to only working a couple active issues at a time and letting VM catch things.

    I've also turned off all audible alarms for email, IM, etc.

    For outside of work, I find doing anything with my hands (wood work, drawing, music) really helps stress relief and getting my concentration back.
