Back in 2004, after third hurricane of the year in Fla, I found a natural disaster map of the U.S. with types of disasters and probability. Ended up moving to just east of Albuquerque, NM. The only thing mapped to where I'm at is minor chance of volcanism. I think I can live with that.
That goes back to basic windows application handling. In Windows, each window is basically a running process. Compare this to Mac where an application can run one, multiple or no windows.
I wrote a vector line drawing app on my Ti 99/4A back in '83. You'd enter a double column of x,y coordinates (start and stop point of line) and it'd then draw it to screen. I did that all in basic when I was 15. Never did get around to figuring out how to view the layout from different angles.
Bleah! I was a cart-tech and dig-tech for about 6 years. If I never sit at a digitizing table or look at a Nat'l Wetlands Survey map again, that's fine by me!
Weird. I've installed several scsi drives on my Quadra 650. The latest one, a 2 GB model was scavenged from a Compaq Proliant RAID box. I think this one, I just mounted in an external case first, formatted and then dragged and dropped the contents of the older internal drive on to it. I then powered down, installed and fired up. Still working fine, all these years later.
Yup, my iPhone loses signal at my driveway and I don't care. Am through dealing with Verizon and their disabling of phone tech except through their services. Screw them!
Now, if they could tabulate all this input and put up some pretty graphs and allow folks to twit in the questions as well as the answers...
I'm at the bar and there's this hot chick I can hook up with but my friend says he heard she's a clingy skank. Should I go for it? She has a tat on her forehead and her back's pierced and laced.
What if baby elephants attack and we need to stop them from dropping a rock on us?
What about encasing all the skin panels of the plane in a stasis field. That should work.
How to join panels inside a stasis field, I'll leave as an exercise for the reader.
Ouzo?
That's an unnatural disaster.

Put bathtubs over the windows and cover your mattress with wallpaper?
Never said unique to Mac; is just a common example that most folks might be familiar with.
Shows up when you close a document window in a Mac app and the mac stays running. Pisses some folks off.

Fully reflected on to the item making the impact. It's called Flubber.

V is better.
Griffin Technology's PowerMate USB Multimedia Controller.
Folks on the inside know that the house of cards is coming down and are grabbing all that they can while they can?
Klipschorn. Yeah, they're kinda' expensive, and not the most comfortable of head phones (kinda' heavy) but man, the sound, the SOUND!
Yeah, but I sucked at the half pipe. So much re-compiling.
Don't forget how Carmageddon 2 demonized British drivers. Or was it zombies?
I prefer Caesar's work with LoA temps.

MS probably figures XP is more of a threat than Apple.
Sarcastically?

OpenSUSEbsd?

Jack Thompson as Ronald McDonald would be scary.
