There was kingship among the elves almost from the very beginning. Ingwe, Finwe, and Elwe were chosen by Orome to be the first the see the light of Aman and were afterwards chosen as kings.
Not all the elves rebelled, only the sons for Feanor and their followers did.
Also, only the Noldor were banished from Aman. The Vanyar and Teleri remained. And of the Noldor, only those that didn't repent the kinslaying and face judgement were banshed.
The block is called ADULT swim. If it is on CABLE the FCC has no say about "adult scenes, language, nudity) Only if it is on airwaves.
What they do have is advertisers. Unless you want to see a pay version (I know I would), I wouldn't expect to see uncut anime on CN anytime soon. Who else would pay for a Toonami channel?
Harvey Birdman is gone and has been for a few weeks (I've seen all six episodes anyway;-) ). I must say I'm not thrilled with the Sunday Adult Swim lately - Ripping Friends is so-so, and they moved Home Movies to 12:00, which means I have to slog through Space Ghost. At least they brought Mission Hill back!
I've been meaning to check out Inu-Yahsa (I love the manga), but I only have the energy to stay up late one work night a week. I might have to change that if they add Trigun as well.
They had one at my elementry & middle schools (Canton, MA). I have no idea if they were actauly recycled. For all I know th ejanitor just tossed them in the same dumpster with all the other trash.
Holy shit! I can't believe that post went through without triggering the lameness filter, the compression filter, or the "Slowdown Cowboy" filter. Could/. be turning over a new (old) leaf?
You've obviously never tried to use RMI with MS java. I don't know about now, but in 1998 the virtual machine that came with Windows/IE 4.x didnt include the java.rmi... packages.
How about walk into a store, pay cash, walk out, and release key? Unless they make computers like cars where they have to registered, licensed, etc. it's pretty hard to associate a random serial number with a real person.
I suppose that's what everyone involved with this whole "trusted" computing thing wants though.
In business computing the user is simply that: a user. A usr does not own the machine nor do they or should they administer the machine.
If I didn't administer my work machine I would never get anything done at work. As I developer, I frequently do things like install third party libraries, twiddle the registry, run tcpdump, and any number of other tasks that require local administrative access. Our IT department supports only MS Office, Notes, Windows, and McAfee VirusScan. If I let IT administer my machine, I'd be screwed.
Hey, you gotta forgive the hoi poli their foibles. ;-)
Ok, but not by much ;-)
It was an experimental protocol that never made it out of the lab. At least that was what my networking prof in college told me :-P
Aren't hardcovers usually printed on acid-free paper so they don't turn yellow and fall apart 10 years down the road?
You mean the BAC?

I think the broadband adaptor is out. I saw a rack for it a Best Buy the other day, right below the modem adaptor. It was sold out though.

Setting the sa password is part of the MSSQL install process, it even warns you if you try to leave it blank.
They publish one in Boston. Our subway system is kinda small though.
For a Carnot engine, it only becomes 100% efficient as reaction time goes to infinity, if I recall my freshman physics correctly.
In the case of the *AA, can't you just figure out what netblock they are coming from and ban them?

There is no real left in this country. What we call the left is the middle in most other western countries, and was the middle maybe 60 years ago.
Nothing short of divine intervention could shorten the commute from Alston to Back Bay :-S
Or you can write CHECK ID in permanent marker on the sig area. A good clerk will then ask for a picture ID.
Didn't they have to stop because it was frying cheap VCRs? What has changed that makes it OK now?
The DVD player built into my TV gives a great message when you put a bad disc in:
"Please check the type of disc and stain or scratch of a disc!"
Classic.
This player supports vanilla mp3s only.
