Why do I get the funny feeling that if you were on twitter or facebook, the first thing you'd to is tell women and minorities in #gamergate that they're: misogynists, uncle toms, house niggers, they're ignorant, or they're too stupid to know what's best for them. Since your post acutely reflects what many aGGros say when someone says something that differs from their preconceived notions.
Can you list said stores that offered different products? Because the ones in my neck of the woods in London and Kitchener all had the same stuff in them. In some cases, those stores were right next door to each other or less than 500m away. They had amazing amount of redundancy.
That's easy, because the media doesn't report it. If however, you head down to your local police department/service, you can request a crime log for the week, some places even have daily reports you can pick up. Which lists all arrested offenses, and minor calls(vandalism, theft under, non-violent domestics, etc) out. In many cases these are published to the media every day, and they decide what they're going to tell the public.
They're starting to enclave up in videogames, much like what happened with the atheism movement. It took a few extra years but the "atheism+" crap is now collapsing under it's own corruption and regular atheism is going along just fine still. And of course there's now a similar thing to gamergate starting in comic books and heavy metal. Everything they touch they turn into a political issue, and when they don't get their way they claim sexism, bigotry, racism, or whatever else to try and make people back down. Funny enough, many of them actually sexist, bigots or racists and that can be easily seen in their social commentary on twitter or facebook.
That was exactly the same reasoning that GM invested heavily in robotics to do the same job, and after 35 years of screwing around with it they simply threw their hands up over it.
General Motors has tried this a number of times at a variety of different warehouses including the National Parts Distribution Centers in Canada at Woodstock, Edmonton and in the US at the facilities in Ohio and Colorado. Even at the wage that most of the people make between $21-29/hr they're more efficient, have fewer errors, and process the orders more quickly than any automation system did. And they've been running tests and trials of it since the 1980's, and every time a human beats the machine. In the one case where they went with a full automation field trial, the warehouse was losing money. Where as a warehouse like Woodstock makes money hand over fist.
When you live in Canada and it's $20-25 per GB, and I'm not even kidding. That's what Bell Canada charges people for their wireless service in the middle of nowhere.
Strange, because on my GMC Terrain I can download the map updates for free. That car is almost 4 years old now, strange that it *was* the companies that made the stand-alone GPS units that didn't have lifetime updates for a very long time, I've still got my garmin from 6-7 odd years ago, where they wanted to charge $190/year for map updates.
This has happened before, it's one of the reasons why CSIS exists and is no longer under the umbrella of the RCMP and why an investigative committee exists which examines all CSIS actions. I expect the same to happen to CSEC, it may take a few years but it'll happen.
I jumped from nvidia to amd because nvidia drivers have become so bad if you're not on the "current flagship" card. There have been a hell of a lot of serious problems with nvidia drivers over the last two years on windows machines. Off the top of my head: TDR problem caused by drivers, the original thread on the nvidia forums was nearly 700k posts long, with 3m views. The fix apparently was due to them dropping voltages so low it caused the card to crash, that was fixed for about three releases and then right back to the beginning. The 400,500,600 series hard-crashes and lockups, that caused their driver to be revoked. A variety of HDMI audio bugs, probably the most famous was the "take over" of the system audio and resetting it to HDMI when no HDMI device was connected. The fan throttle bug that burned out video cards.
There are performance issues, but I haven't seen any earth shattering problems like that on the amd side. And most of those problems on the nvidia side have to do with them moving their core driver team too quickly to the most current cards, and failing to leave enough documentation for the "b squad" driver team.
It's trivial to cheat on those, there was a case back 15-20 years ago here in Canada were participants were caught cheating in it. The same happened in the pascal math tests. I'm sure that in cases in the last 5 years people have been caught cheating in those tests as well.
Wouldn't the most "extreme" title be AO? GTA is still M, isn't it?
Yep. There's very few titles that get the designation though, EF, Hatred come to the top of my head. GTA SA? I think went AO after the hot coffee thing, when it was patched out it was reverted to M.
SC2K was made when they were still pure Maxis, SC3K was made when they were a part of EA, both are exceptionally great games. I used to re-make Canuck Cities in 2K and 3k, posting them to BBS's, I'm sure someone could find them still if they wanted. Off the top of my head, I did Toronto, Windsor, London, Kitchener/Waterloo, Hull, Ottawa, Halifax, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Victoria, Vancouver. Small cities and towns like Woodstock, Ingersoll, Kingston, etc. They were very popular for people to tinker with, I think I was 15 or so at the time.
Anyway, I grabbed Cities: Skylines. I have a few complaints, one of which is the lack of building diversity. Though modding gets around that very easily. Overall, it's like the days of 3K, where there is micromanagement, you can buy up neighboring plots of land to expand your city and watch just how great or screwed up things can get.
Excuse me, but now it's Apple's fault that CNN can't do research?
They're partially complicit, they could have contacted CNN to point out that they were wrong. They could have dumped out a press release on their website saying it was incorrect, but they didn't. They simply rode the train because it was the easiest thing to do.
Fun story, I knew a guy who lived through the great depression. He and his wife made ends meet, by making Disney character windmills and selling them on the street corner. These days, they'd likely be tossed in prison and have a fine.
Well they can move it to Canada. The government here doesn't really care as long as:
1) It's legal 2) If you're mining, you pay capital gains over $5k earned 3) You preform due diligence and pay your taxes if they apply on BT transactions.
Minecraft isn't a AAA game though, it's indie. And one of the few indie success stories, much like DOOM and ID Software were indie. The difference between the two is that ID Software continued to innovate and evolve. Mojang simply cashed out.
I strongly have the feeling we'll see space elevators before we get to Mars. Moon will be before that, and probably in my lifetime.

Most of amazon's warehouses are in the asshole of nowhere, that means that many people don't have any choice but to work for them.

In what way is $5 per GB not "that expensive"?

This means they've been storing passwords in plaintext. Why isn't this yet illegal?
Probably the same reason why people use SHA256 for hashing still, they're dense as a post and asking for someone to take it all.
Welcome to the new /. where sjw shit has become the norm. And people wonder why there's a giant cultural backlash brewing.
It sure sounds like it's a "possible" breach. I mean actually, it was a breach. Does the submitter work for them or something?

Bum 1: The journalists are running scared...
Bum 2: The people know they are corrupt.
Courtesy of Deus Ex.
Pull them out, then towards the highway and you'll get a nice curve.

Don't give them ideas.

Well 5-6? expansions, new assets, and so-on will cause bloat.
