  1. Reminder that rampant anti-nuke and environmental protests are the cause of a lot of these problems. There were decades of anti-nuclear protests in japan against even upgrading safety mechanism because it would require a shutdown and restart of the reactors. Sometimes these went through irregardless because the courts refused to hear the lawsuits, in other cases they were tied up in lawsuits. Some plant safety upgrades for Kashiwazaki-Kariwa are still stuck in courts. The anti-nuke stance is nothing like what people in the west see in the media, it's rabid. Environmental impact studies, nimby, environmental protests have done far more damage to build new nuclear power plants. Despite that, S.Korea and Canada are able to operate their reactors, turn a profit, and include the cost of refurbishment after 25yrs in the reactors life cycle.

You're right, they said far worse. Like saying all "white people are sub-human" I've heard that before...coming from black supremacists. Very uh...diverse, so progressive. Gee, they're just like Margaret Sanger and her belief that blacks were sub-human need to be culled, and the perfect way to do that was via planned parenthood. Never mind her pro-eugenics stance or anything...

Clinton was right then, and HAD CONSERVATIVES HEEDED HER WARNING we'd not be in the horrific situation of having a President who panders to, and gives power, to Neo-Nazis, and who is in probability one himself.

You're so heavily invested in identity politics that you're willing to swallow whatever bullshit is shoved down your throat. So you criticize the OP because of a belief in an alt-right boogeyman, and then label him as part of the "elitist leftist" boogeyman?

He's the one who claimed that they're a progressive, pro-eu, anti-etc. That's not a bogyman, those are their own labels, and belonging to the same group of people that will turn around happily and say "the reason we're not winning, is because the people are dumb." I'm holding him to his standards, not mine.

Polling after the election did not find significant number of swing voters who voted Trump because of identity politics.

Ah yeah, about that...I'll have to find the article again, it was published in the last week. But it showed that around 16-20% of registered democrats flipped to Trump. As it stands right now, Trumps chances of winning simply running off the economy would win him a second term, but we're still 3ish years away from that. And as it stands, the left are so fundamentally fractured that even when they're spending opponents at 2.5:1 ratios they're not winning, they're barely coming close.

  14. You pretend that "fuck you" is the same as "all jews should die and here is how it should be done." You are the one equating yelling in someone's face with running them over with a car. One is not like the other.

I'm holding you to your standard.

  15. That certainly shows the other side in a less forgiving light. ... And let's not pretend that this video is the standard chain of events. The whole reason we have this news post from the beginning is that someone decided those protests were worth killing over.

Go watch any protest at the start where there is some "anti" group protesting and you'll see something similar. Hell even Jordan Peterson experienced in Toronto when he was speaking in public. This isn't an uncommon occurrence by the left, it's standard operating procedure. That was Canada. This is in the US, and you can find plenty of other examples.

  16. Looks pretty peaceful to me. ... Isn't this the kind of protest you spend hours on here defending?

You mean the part where people were yelling, getting right into his face is peaceful? No wonder you're perfectly fine with this as they are.

So, since we're convicting without a trial. I'm sure that you're going to be shaming those anti-confederate protesters for their violence right? After all, holding you to your standard: Words are violence.

  17. Stop calling everything you don't agree with Fascist.

Oh come on now it's obviously fascist. I mean, just look at these very peaceful anti-confederate protesters and that fascist chubby kid. Doesn't it look like they not going to do him any harm? I mean, it's right to the point where even the cops are having enough of this bullshit.

Just like how you think a cartoon frog is racist, or the kekistani flag is nazism -- instead of mocking your belief in identity politics. Your understanding of the political situation is at a point where democrats voted for Trump, and it was a warning shot across the bow of the establishment.

You know what this will be for Trump? Likely nothing. Just like how the "Trump was elected by Russia" story has been dead in the water for the last week and a half. The average person has seen race relations in the US degrade under Obama, severely degrade. Your average white, asian, etc., sees a push back by those people on the right. After years of groups like BLM, bamn, and so on attacking people. You don't think that your average working class asian would align with the right, after years of being a minority but "not the right kind of minority" by the left? You think it was any surprise that so many people supported the arrest and prosecution of the people who pulled down that confederate statue yesterday?

You're stuck in the same elitist bubble that many democrats are. The same bubble that will label people as race traitors, uncle toms, house n*iggers, and so on if they dare to walk off the plantation and make their own choices. And daring to look beyond their skin colour/race/sex/etc.
