So, as Stratton put it "when you're running the game, you're running the editor." What this means is that you'll be able to walk around in a level, press a key, bring up the editor, place some lights, and go back to the level. It seems the old.BSP process is gone
that would be bloody fantasic, but I have a nasty feeling this game will lead to a big hole in my walit.
The follow have served me well: http://www.gmx.co.uk No email forwarding with out paying, but then it has pop & smtp http://sneakemail.com Free emailforward designed to help remove spam. I can a spam mail to the address, all I have to do it delete it, and set up a new one.
Thats why, it's not X, but the lack of standard toolkits. In joe-user mode, I want a standard look&feel across all my apps, if all the developers started using either KDE or GNOME, or if KDE & GNOME joined forces to create a standard toolkit for X, which everyone used then it would be fine. But instead every soddy app works complete differntly.
VPC on x86 seems kind of pointless... why dink around with software emulation to run multiple OSes when you can just get one of those removable HD bays and swap actual hard drives in and out with different OSes on them? Yes, as I can test a Linux set up while writing the word document with that. Ohh wait, no I can't, I have to reboot every few mins, to flip between Windows & Linux!
Not with a well designed system. Interfaces, great things. So MS say if you want your browser to be swappable middleware, you make sure you do x, y and z.
It works well for Java;)
But yea, this is a silly point, why not attack MS on points that matter, like the boot issue, or the new liences:)
Real marines can look up/down AND jump! Thats an lie spred by the US media, inorder to ensure terrorists don't excape by hiding somewhere to high to get at.
I have to ask, but why not? If I set up a box which always shared the source would it? (as then it's no diff than a web server, but the dl would be mirrored).
but i was trying to justify the high cost vs. hardware that you get You can't, I would not bother a 206MHz proc w/ 64MB RAM is a new PDA and that'll only set you back ~$500!

Ohh they were fun back in err what 97 :)
Wonder round a badly made 3D world, where people would try to talk to you, but you all really longed for a chain saw...
Hmm.... shame it costs to play with, that would be fun.
or want their boy friends penis 3" bigger.

I've found that buying it removes the banner adds
X11 imposes no constraints on the toolkits

.co.cx use to be free, alas people abused 'em (wonder why:) so it was scrapped :(
VPC also have an x86 version (which she mentions in the article).
So I'm not quite sure what the point of this article was. Someone want to fill me in?
To compare three products that all let you do the same thing, run an x86 os on an x86 system.

Hmmm... I wonder if anyone has tried to use WINE to run Win95 on Linux!
Wine IS a copy of Windows.
Now, running Win95 in DOSEMU would be intersting.
European & nocturnal
But troll, why, I said something you disagree with?
People like being paid for there work. You don't like that, then use FREE versions. There are great free music, why not play that?
mlk
-1 redundent, or as it's more commently known "I don't like whats said, but know i'll be beat if I say anything against it"
(mod me down for this if you like, "Flame bait", "Troll" if you must. "Off-topic" if you have even looked at the Mod-FAQ.
There is a great Slashdot sig,
"Don't like the GPL, write your own dam software!"
Same goes with music, don't like the lience it's under, DONT USE IT.
It unfair, so is life, get use to it!
people want to be paid for there copyright works!
NOOO Say it's not so!
Real marines can look up/down AND jump!

FPS?
:)
RTS!
They prob. just use a bastardised copy of AOE
This does lead to intresting problems w/ the source. ;)
GPG would be used much more than it is now
I have to ask, but why not?

Unless you use VMWare for step #3, it will :)
You can choose, WHEN YOU VOTE.
If "they" are spending it all on crap, then vote diffrently!
but i was trying to justify the high cost vs. hardware that you get

Why not just stick Linux [ http://sourceforge.net/projects/linux-7110/ ](or BSD [lost the URL] ) on a Psion [ http://www.psion.co.uk ]. :)
They are out NOW, low in price and come with a keyboard!
Big spike up the arse.
I'd love to stick a GPS in my mobile that sends in cords when I SMS it.
OK, more of a mix between Quake & this then.
