Atleast a computer is viable to learn on at home. I'm a audio professional. 3,000 might buy me an OK set of monitors (no not the eye kind the ear kind).

bleh. grouchy and tired (and broke).

maybe it's part of the certification to fix it :-P

No, stop making excuses and admit you're being illegal, immoral, and breaking the will of the artist you 'support'. You say you want the freedom to spread information to whomever you want? What about the right of the artist to spread their work as they desire? If you think they are so great cant you respect that?

Atleast admit you're just being wrong. Sure, the industry if wrong, but so are you.

    +5 insightful my ass.

hey I can save your docs faster....

but you dont really like the feature set of vim do you? The reason those things dont seem to get any faster is that pesky innovation called "new and competitive features that enhance your productivity". bet my 500 Mhz crap in a can save faster textfiles than your office 2030 running on an alpha transparency GUI. Its a tradeoff, and until someone decides that making a fast computer would be as cool as a featurefull one, we're all up a creek :)

but then I'm a linux user in the apple section so we need to be acting like bitter enimies.....poopoo head.

Actually, the installment spoken of above was written by Adams himself. check the article for details, but i beleive the last studio with rights for a movie was disney, and he was working on said movie script with them.

Adams had already signed away the rights, fully willing to see a movie (other than that trash english stuff :) ).

thats funny. you can hear the differnce in a cd and burned copy (not pressed). if you can hear that you can hear the diff in you 192 kbit mp3s.

so you can try it, listen on that 500$ pair of phone for a loss of high end and slight compression effect on the burned copy. Sorry my phones are only 100$, but i went for MDR 7506s because i'm a recording engineer and they are an industry standard. i'm not even an audiophile, and i dont have a golden ear or claim to have one. If you have that high quality equipment, sit down and actually listen to it, its better than most of the stuff we have here at my college.

    lol

Your music collection must sound like crap. utter crap. Even if you just copy a cd, you lose audible sonic quality due to cd error and signal path error. Ignoreing the ethical factor all together, you are making a bad decision for your ears, unless of course our stereo is a set of jury rigged hard drives....
