How much smart device redundancy do you need on your person at any given time? I think my phone is enough, especially given Its huge screen and larger battery. No reason to compromise my watch with a battery life hundreds of times shorter just to have it do crap my phone already does.
I worry about this every time I see any government form that asks for race. What can they possibly do with that information that wouldn't be discriminatory?
Visit and one X-ray. When I tell you it was 200 at the door I'm not joking. I called around later and found one that was only $150 at the door for a follow up visit, but they just billed me more latter so it came out about the same. The doctor kept wanting to do various tests and I kept saying nope to expensive (I knew it was pneumonia. Give me antibiotics and send me home!).
$90? lol. That IS what your insurance company pays them. A person paying cash however pays 200-300 at the door and is billed for the rest. Usually another 200-300. Last time I visited the doctor without insurance it cost me $500. Most people would only need major medical if doctors weren't a bunch of greedy pricks who charge insurance companies a fair rate and rape anyone who tries to pay in cash. If a doctor were on fire I would ask for his wallet before pissing on him.
Stop trying to farm and build huge cities in the desert. When you fuss about not being able to find enough water in the desert I just want to sit in my muddy, humid, rainy state... and watch you die of thirst.
Take the average 1400cc 4cylinder motorcycle engine, remove ALL of the transmission and cut that part of the cases off... BAM super light 400hp engine, once you add a turbo. People have been getting that much out of busas and zx14s for ages and they aren't all that unreliable.
Also... ask the team if they would drop the entire hybrid system if they could do so without having to add the weight lost back and I bet they would. This is not the future of racing, its more like forcing it into racing.
If you buy the car, you OWN the car and everything in it right? if you own those heated seats, its not exactly piracy if you enable them. How would they stop that?
There are two theaters in my city. The theater is 21.5 miles away. There is one 7 miles closer but unless I want to go by my self, I have to compromise and meet my friends at the one in the middle of all of us. Not to mention the closer one is more expensive. Anywho, my vehicle is capable of over 20mpg... on the highway... but in my town all the lights are timed so you catch almost all of them red, which leads to tons of traffic and constant stop and go. I think its a conspiracy to get more money from local gas taxes.
Also, all of my numbers except fuel are doubled to account for paying for my wife too.
More than just the price of gas, I also costs a lot more to do whatever you are going to do when you get where you are going!
10 years ago an outing might have cost me ~30 bucks gas included. 5 in gas, 15 for food, 10 for movie tickets. Now it costs ~60 with 8 for gas, 30 for food, 20 for movie tickets. I am however NOT making twice as much as I was 10 years ago.
Well its cool and all that some company that wants to specialize in fabricating one off parts can use their machines to make a functioning gun, but this is hardly news worthy. The price of the machine that did it could probably buy an entire tractor trailer full of AK-47s.
Were they not able to sell or trade used books before? I know in college they change books like every year to squeeze more money out of you, but I figured in south africa they might assume the people cant quite afford it and use the same book year after year.
I work for a medium sized financial institution and the level of security is off the charts to the point where you can be fired from walking away from your workstation without first locking it. No computer that is connected or ever has been or will be connected to our internal network is allowed on the internet or to have a flash drive / CD put into it except by approved IT workers (the ports and drives are disabled too).
Sure myst looked great, but modern games have much better graphics. Sure Myst had intriguing puzzles, but puzzle games are dime a dozen in the bargain bin. Sure it had a good story, but lots of games have had good stories. The properties that made it good at the time did not age well and now days the audience for such a game would be minuscule. Perhaps the gaming demographic has changed too.
The games that have aged well are the games that allow a sense of advancement or that allow a lot of creativity. Pokemon, Diablo II, minecraft (for sake of argument I am saying it was born old).
The school I went to in particular, the CS courses had more math than they had actual computer courses. I think they were just padding the cirriculum to make their degree program and math looked like the most viable option. As an 18 year old it was enough to make me change majors, I can do math but its not my favorite pass time, so a degree that looked an awful lot like a math degree with a minor in computers was enough to scare me away. I regret not looking at other schools.
So now every tech support call in the world is monitored by the indian government? If I defame their leaders while on the phone with Dell, will their be consequences?
Even if it has no effect on telomeres, it could still keep the body functioning better into old age. I would rather have 70 good years before I die than 40 good, 20 that are so so, and 10 that suck.
I've got one of those hybrid laptops with both intel and Nvidia gpus in it. When the settings are screwed up and it forgets to switch to the Nvidia card, even simple games like league of legends run jerky and more modern stuff becomes completely unplayable unless you completely neuter the settings and resolution.

If the magnet is super conducting, you can fire it up on earth and then just keep the cooling system going through the trip.

Now if we could just stop our government from printing themselves money.

The RIAA is actually the music industries final form. The only way for them to remain relevant is to become a law firm that litigates non stop.

Oops forgot, we are also constantly tested for weaknesses against social engineering lol.

exactly, and if I had points id mod it up but I don't so I'll just reply.
if $5 could feed ME for a month I might actually have some money to donate :P

If you had to relive the whole debacle, what would you do differently the second time around.

They might even be able to turn up their graphics in WoW now :D
