If you don't think that failure to think for yourself is retarded I am not sure what can be done for you. Seems a bit trollish. If anything geeks are more likely to flame you for not knowing some obscure bit of information. Perhaps the "hipness" of being a geek has drawn in a few mindless idiots though. In my opinion geeks fall in to one of two categories. The "hip" crowd that is also usually very liberal, also because it is hip. These people are usually borderline retarded. At the other end of the spectrum are the real geeks who can't help but be a geek. These people typically don't buy in to any political propaganda and lean towards general distrust and dislike of the government regardless of party,

  4. Missed something on Seduction Secrets In Video Game Design · · Score: 1

He missed another important feature required for a game to be massively successful. It has to allow creativity and be fairly open ended. EX: Minecraft. People don't play minecraft to survive zombies. People play because the game lets them create. I think that is also why people enjoy RPGs, you are slowly creating a character. Another example would be Diablo II. The main draw of that game was that with the various items, skills, etc... you could come up with your own character build and create. The inability to "re-spec" made a large portion of that. When you completed a character, it was something you painstakingly created to your specifications and an example of your creativity much like building hot rod etc... As per the Flyn effect people are getting smarter and smarter but our jobs / lives are becoming more and more mundane. The creativity we used to have to use for our own survival loves to find an outlet.

Count on going to jail just as if you had shot the person in the eye with a BB gun or stabbed them with a pencil though.

I bought an Archos 70 on release day for $250. Capacitive screen, stereo, microsd support, hardware acceleration for every popular video codec. The only concession I have had to make is that although flash video works its a pain. There is supposed to be hardware support for flash playback on the way though. Do I think other tablets are a waste? yes. I'm not trying to be an infomercial, I just bought one of the only sane tablet on the market. The only other sane tablet IMO is a hacked nook color. If I had to do it over again it would be a hard choice. Better hardware on the nook but software side its much weaker.
