    Concur. Three is the best performing network in London, though far from perfect. However I was on Voodoofone before and it was truly woeful for data.

    This is by far the most obvious way to deal with the problem to me too, and allows conventional law (copyright for images, trademark for names, etc) to resolve copycat developers.

    NASA could always do with more funding. They re-pitch the idea that Mars has the building blocks for life and will require a few more $$$ to go back an explore it properly. They see an opportunity with a miserable failure in charge to fool him into signing another cheque.

    Personally I think it's a long way to go. Why can't the Mars fossils get off their lazy backsides and come here for a change? ;)

    I was pretty introverted and didn't particularly enjoy team sports at school either. Fifteen years after leaving school and having only done introverted sports like rock climbing and mountain biking, I joined a friendly rowing club.

    It was the best thing I ever did - social contact, structure in my life (getting out of the house instead of surfing slashdot) and the best fitness I ever had was just a bonus.

    Let me explain. In the UK some bank ATM (cash points) are inside the bank building and the only way to get in (out of hours) is by swiping your ATM card to make the door open (the rest of the bank is shuttered off). I assume this is to stop tramps using it as a place to sleep. However I discovered that a supermarket loyalty card also lets you in. So if you really hate supermarket loyalty cards, you can now put them to good use and give a tramp a warm place to sleep. :-)

    I agree completely on the value of Usenet as a resource for finding answers to technical problems but it seems increasingly that the questions are being posed but there are no answers!

    Is this because the questions are getting harder to answer or because they are being drowned out in the noise or barriers are in the way to reply to them?
