Take a look at the article again. Specially the part which talks about IBM products and Lotus products. she mentions there that THERE WILL BE A LOTUS NOTES CLIENT.. Does she knows anything that wasn't announced yet??
sue me? for what? That I took word for word? I took that paragraph because it matches EXACTLY the point. ZD wants you to read the article on their pages, cause they put some ADs there so they can make money on it. I put the link to the article, and NOT copying the entire article.
You PAY for the commercial QT 2.0 (which is also available for Windows and can make life easier for them moving Delphi from Windows to Linux).
They could easily include the runtime price in the total end user price..
It might be interested to see if they will release a free version "for non commercial use" which will allow users (students, home users) to compile open source Delphi programs. I would call that - cool:)
* SGI plan to modify Linux to run on 64 & up processors.. * They're porting Linux to MIPS (not just the R3000, think MUCH bigger numbers - R10000 & up) * And some more surprises.
Speaking about drivers, I'm sorry to say, but anyone who can grab Linux kernel 2.2.x will find that 95% of the drivers that QNX supports - Linux supports also (besides the USB which is developed right now & Firewire).
Also, Linux got LOTS of other drivers that QNX doesn't. Some examples: ISDN, Radio tuners, TV Tuners, mouses, camera's, and lots more..
So please QNX, admit it - open source work.. specially with Linux.
If someone is following Corel, he/she will see that Corel really Loves KDE (they donated 6 workstations for the KDE development), and if they'll have the wine functional to run out-of-the-box Windows applications, then they got a winner. But on Linux world, since Wine is GPL'd, Caldera, Redhat, S.u.S.E, debian and other could easily do the same. Now add that LSB (Linux Standard Base) is moving to finalize all the settings and Redhat Linux will have the same settings that Caldera Linux have - so it's a win win. JUST do not modify the kernel, Corel..
Check some facts:
1. KDE is LGPL
2. QT is QPL
Hold your horses. Last time I asked Andrea (who helped to write the 4 GB patch) he is working on the PAE extensions as well...
So I'll bet you'll see it SOONER then you think
Well, from the screenshots, I cannot see any problems why there won't be any Linux port.
I cannot confirm it, but from rumors I hear (and I cannot tell from who) it WILL be ported to Linux.

Kernel 2.2.10 got some serious bugs in it
2.2.11 is a much better one, and you can download it from SuSE web pages quite easily
Well, I cannot reveal my sourced, but:

As soon as I'll have more info, I'll post it on
The page appears correctly.

I would suggest people to look at KDevelop - http://www.cs.uni-potsdam.de/~smeier/kdevelop/ - although it's for C++ and you'll need QT libraries..
Sorry, check your sources again...
There WILL be soon a G2 Player for All Linux/Unix variants.. (but sadly, no G2 Plus version)

Actully, Intel made few hundreds of them at the first month when P-II came out (as much as I recall)
It's supported
Yes, it's supported.
problem fixed. check link now
Think about this scenerio:
:)
Even if MS modifies the kernel and Linus doesn't like the modification? what can they do?
Issue a patch for every 2.0.x or 2.2.x or 2.3.x or any of Alan Cox's patches??
They can't do nasty things either cause:
1. Linux community (most of them) = technical experts, so they can find all the secret nasty stuff in a day or 2.
2. There are many reporters who read slashdot.org and would be happy to publish any nasty stuff MS did. It's the Internet age...

Indeed,
