    Dnsmasq using an amended hosts file FTW. Point your router DNS to a linux box if necessary. Then all devices covered.

    Mosaic was amazing for its time. Wasteful tool bar at top, but a pretty sweet graphic while loading.

    There are a lot of those groups in Idaho. When someone contracts a disease like measles, the family invites all the extended family and friends over to "say goodbye" because they won't perform any medical treatment.

    So sad this happens to kids that have no choice. I've met teenagers that "sneak away" to get medical help and medicine just to survive.

    Depends on the game. I can play Open Arena fairly well without a mouse, but I must plan my shots much more carefully.

    With Bitcoin, you're validating transactions. For this distributed ledger of voting, you are only recording each vote and hopefully not transferring votes between wallets.

    The concept of "the machine 'learns' what I like/dislike by showing me more/less of those items after I rate them" behavior is concerning in the context of free-form information. In the case of Netflix, it's great, as that is entertainment. But as more and more people consume *information* from social media sources using algorithms like this, it will further divide society.

    Soon everyone will only see "news" they agree with, instead of muti-faceted stories and derive their own opinions.

    Ye who controls the algorithms will soon drive public opinion.

    Using interfaces with a single implementation is MORE code maintenance!

    If you have multiple implementations, then refactor into an interface (which is trivial with the right tools), but until then keep it simple, stupid.

    Governments or corporations may want to stealthily grow a genetically advanced army using artificial wombs. Some scientists may also want to grow chimeras using artificial wombs as the fetus + eventual birth may be dangerous to the human surrogate.

    How does anyone survive with tabs on the top? Even on a portrait monitor, I have tabs on the side. Grouped, colored, trees of tabs...

    This sounds like fancy layers of firewalls for appy app apps: route traffic through TOR, prohibit certain types of malware, trust some versions of binary apps to not change.
