I signed up for it a long time ago and never used it. yet I am now a part of this the amount of spam I have been receiving over the last two days has definitely increased 5 fold.
I received that strange message yesterday, and sure enough I am now receiving a lot more spam It is all very similar too. I thought the message was a hoax, I checked the bluesecurity web page yesterday on they had a message stating that these spammers are using their own databases guessing that they would hit a bunch of the bluefrog users. I think it is obvious now that this is not true, the bluesecurity database has been compromised.
War spying is not a new topic for them. Do not regurgitate the same old stories in a new format. Myself having a 2 year associate's degree in electronics and working as a network engineer for the last 8 years I am not impressed. (not that I have bragging rights for that!)
Shoot higher. Intelligent leaders surround themselves with those that are smarter than themselves. As journalists, use your talents to search out people with skills higher than your own in the topics you are covering and use your journalist skills as a rosetta stone for the rest of us. Pardon the reference, but hosts of cooking shows pretend they do not know what they are doing when they have guests on to facilitate the knowledge transfer from the presenter to the viewer.
Why lock yourself into one topic (war spying) that so many people may not find an interest in? That is the content of the whole episode? Nobody cares f you do not have a set. This was your coming out party, seek a large audience. Make it look like more than a college project. At this point you are actually an experienced journalist. Use your skills and do not just report, Produce! I think this could take off, but only with hard work and dedication.
G4 bought TechTV so that they can get into all the living rooms that TechTV was already in. That's why they went from G4 to G4TechTV, and now just G4 again. They bought the network and then threw away all of the content. As for Kevin Rose, he is a tech journalist on a show about video games. I don' blame him for leaving. Any geek in main stream media is going to be criticized. But, in all honesty they were the geekiest show on TV at one point.
I have a plam treo cell phone/pda with a 1 Gig SD memory card in it. The integrated real player sounds great on this thing. The capcities will only get bigger. Now I just need to be able to carry my collection of DVD's and have a built in projector.
I used to install HP Printers twice on machines. One for B&W and a second for color. HP drivers now prevent you from printing greyscale only. I spent hours on the phone with HP support, there is no way to do it on HP's newer printers. I am sure that this is to force people to use more expensive ink.
There was a big push from the fans of The Screen Savers on TechTv for you to be made a host. Were you in discussion with them, and were you offered a job?

BitTorrent traffic accounts for 1/3 of all Internet traffic. Throwing 10% of that data to random IP addresses seems to me not a very good idea.
