    What's the dark line around the windows if they arn't shadows?
    I think the UI should make the 'shadows' harder if the window has the focus and softer if it doesn't. A bit like when a scroll bar gets the focus in windows.

    I think your wrong.

    Does a car need to understand plain spoken words to get us where we want.
    Perhaps the interface and marketing need to be redesigned to show computers as something that require a little effort, they are not like a genie in a lamp.

    Linux on the desktop isn't about home users and geeks, it's about thousands of workplace desktops that are switching to linux, becaused of:
    Price,
    Stability,
    Ability to turn all the crap off so that you get some work done by your employees.
    etc....
    Fast pretty twinkley frilly bits don't cut it in the business world.

    Web browsing:
    KHTML, Apple used KHTML for it's browser and the changes have been merged into KDE.

    Playing DVDs:
    Well I use xine and gentoo, no real problems except you have to pick the correct DVD/CSS/Menu plugin out of a choice of two.

    I think I'll just listen to my MP3s with xmms:
    The next relese of KDE comes with KJukeBox, kde can already play MP3's etc... and Video files.

    14.4 was just fine for me, I didn't bother with a 56k modem for at least a couple of years.

    now I have a 2 meg ADSL connection and it could do to be a bit faster sometimes.

    I frequently download cracks so that I can play windows games under wine/winex.

    Supporting the NWN developers is a good thing, but not as good as downloading the linux version so that next time they have linux support off of the shelf.

    In the UK.

    1: If you find a bag of gold in the middle of the road and you believe that belongs to someone else you must hand it in to the police.

    2: If I play a cover version of something at a gig then the holders of the gig must pay royalties to the copyright holder. (it is not my responsability).

    3: Premises with a music license can download music and play it so long as they pay royalties. The distributor would have broken trade laws regarding quality control not copyright laws.

    4: If all my music is from P2P and I redistribute it am I responsible for copyright infringement or just the original source.

    Radar is far more 3 dimensional than you eye sight, infact it's 4 dimensional.

    The radar knows:
    Distance (based on echo time)
    Speed of approach (based on Doppler shift)
    Location (based on the direction the radar is pointing).

    You know:
    Distance (approximated)
    Speed of approach (approximated from memory)
    Location (based on the direction you are looking)
