One- it is not theft. So stop trolling. It is a copyright violation, which should be a civil matter not a criminal one. Making civil violations criminal acts only leads to creating more criminals. Have we learned nothing from our past? (For those that have not figured it out- here is the clue bat: Prohibition).

Two, what happens in five years when we all have cell phones more powerful than our desktops that can record full video for 10 hours? I already have a PDA more powerful with more RAM than a notebook I had several years ago. Do you really want to go to jail because you happened to check a page that vibrated in on the cell? That is the scenario we moving to.

Third, are all those five people household members? If not, then it is arguable that is a public showing. By your terms, you are a thief depriving those hard working people at the MPAA of thier rightful works. You may want to get off that high horse.

I am all for respecting others rights, but I also expect some reciprisosity. Copyrights were meant to be applied for a limited time; not for effectively forever. More and more laws are being passed to trample on my rights.

the rating on a PSU is how much power it can handle at Peak requirements. Also a rule of thumb is that the higher the rating on a PSU, the more efficient it runs on smaller eletical loads. So if you stick a 300WW PSU in your P166, it will actually be a bit more efficient.

Most Computers sittting idle likee a typical firewall will be consuming about 100W. If you really want to be efficient, get a Router Firewall from a thousand different manufactuers. They all will consume somewhere between 15W-40W. Unless you need a stateful firewall, they will probably be more than good enough. And they function as your switch as well so you don't need another item that will consume almost as much power and the router.

Now most of thhose services the little router/firewall will not handle, so a P166 may be more useful. You should realize that the more services one runs the more insecure the server becomes. It would be possible to setup port forwarding rules on the new routers so that sme other computer on the network can take up the slack.

Normal people don't understand either the MSWindows File Hierachy nor do they understand any version of MacOS. (MacOSX is a distant relative Linux File Hierachy.) The Home directory in Linux is an eaier concept than the User account folder in Windows 2000/XP. Starting at "/" is just as arbitrary as starting at "C:\". Everything is a file concept is something for advanced users to grok, normal users don't need to know about /proc or /dev.

Typically, you don't need to install things like printer drivers as it is already a part of the Distro. You also never installed a Loki game. Pop tthe cd in, run the setup, and nice gui install. Sure, it didn't auto start, but it was two clicks in KDE. It was four in GNOME, but that was because GNOME used double clicks.

The defaults for GNOME or KDE are far more sane than what is deault in MSWindows. I am not familiar enough with OSX to comment, but there were little things in MacOS8.6 that drove me nuts. Nor was there anyway for to change the settings. In Linux, I can change things to suit my preferences.
