It's interesting that recently, the Federal Department of Justice has been filing briefs saying that the Second Ammendment protection of the right to bear arms is not merely a collective right, but an individual right.

The Bill of Rights was drafted to list the rights of individuals that the majority can't take away from them. If even Federal Judges can't see this, we're in big trouble.

While you and I might think this is a bad thing, I know most students will love this. Of course, these are the students who sell back every textbook for an insanely low amount of money, simply because they know they'll never need a book on macroeconomics in their life.

Now, they'll be able to pay an (initially) cheaper price for a book they won't have to have the inconveniance of when they're done with it. Sheer Bliss! More time at the bar! And who would ever read a college textbook for any reason?

One way that I've found has been successful is introducing people to Linux is to show them how easy it is to dual-boot between Windows and Linux, and how easy it is to mount the Windows partition in Linux, thereby being able to access the data on both partitions from Linux.

According to this statement, it seems that Microsoft is even reserving the right to prevent people from doing that. Can you imagine Windows detecting changes in the Master Boot record, and not booting if grub or lilo is installed? Can you imagine Microsoft only "supporting" people who have only their operating system installed?

It's not too hard to imagine, of course...

Not wanting to burst your bubble, but having a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science means more than just knowing how to program.

The reason why you're forced to take GenEd classes at a university is because they want to graduate a well rounded individual, not just a person who knows how to code. If a person has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from an accredited university, an employer can pretty safely assume that not only does this person know how to code, but can also read well, study, write reports, and is educated in general.

So, doing all that in a year is not going to happen. Perhaps a Bachelor's Degree is not what you're looking for?
