The real problem is not that the government is out of control. The government does not move with a single mind... it is aggregate and it is not after anyone but criminals.
Everyone's a criminal. Federal laws are convoluted, vague, and there's more of them then you can even begin to imagine. A Boston Lawyer wrote a book about how the average American commits three felonies a day. Without even being aware of it.
So, yes, the problem IS that the Government is out of control.
The US has extradition treaties with the UK, so why would he have to be extradited to Sweden before he can be extradited to the US, if that's what this is really all about? It doesn't make any sense to me.
Why can't indie artists make a decent living at their craft?
They can, they're just not going to do it selling music cds/tapes/records anymore. They're going to have to do it the old fashioned way, at live shows.
Most people seem to forget that the phonograph is a fairly new invention. It's just a blip on the radar in the lifespan of music. For thousands of years musicians made money playing live. The decent ones could use it to supplement their income, the great ones could make a living off it.
There's plenty of indie artists out there that are making a decent living despite not getting any airplay or huge record sales (Decemberists, Wilco). Are they bajillianaires? No. The days of recording a song and then being able to live off that nights labor for the rest of your life are over (Beatles) and I for one am not sad to see them go. Musicians should be out there constantly perfecting their craft, not resting on their laurels.
You also need to factor in the fact that if you're staying in Motels, you're going to be pretty much eating at a restaurant every night. With a camper you have a full kitchen.
Having spent 53 days traveling around the country not this last summer, but the previous, I can say with out a doubt I would not have wanted to do it living out of motel rooms. Having to pack and unpack the car every night, living out of a suitcase, and sleeping in a different bed every night would have gotten old real quick. With a camper, you have all your stuff stored in the camper, closets for your clothes, and a bed you can get used to. We got pretty good at hooking and unhooking the camper, we had it down to under 5 mins.
The best part though, if you really need to use the bathroom, there's no searching for one, you're hauling one around with you. Just pull over and use it. If you think they're easy to find, your coming from a coasters perspective. There are still vast stretches of this country that have nothing in them but a road, running straight and true for miles and miles and miles and miles and...
Except, instead of dissuade them, it would more likely force them to speed up their plans.
You really think crowd sourcing this would get better/quicker results then the dedicate code breakers at some place like the FBI or MI6?
You really think, "possibly", dissuading them is better then actually catching them?
I'm not questioning why the manifesto was made public, but why people would go public with the fact they may be onto hidden information contained within that manifesto.
Why is this being made public? If this points to conspirator's or other sensitive information, shouldn't this have been quietly handed to the police so that they don't tip their hand?
You may not agree with it, but tying the budget to increasing debt is completely reasonable. If you want to extend you're credit limit with your credit card company, they're not going to just rubber stamp it, they're going to want to review your income and expenditures. What isn't reasonable, is taking half off the budgeting methods completely off the table before negotiations even start.
What anonymous don't seem to get is that popular speech doesn't NEED protection. No ones going to stop you from saying something they agree with. It's unpopular speech, be it scientific, political, or religious that the laws are there to protect. As disgusting as the WBBC people are, they have a right to show the world just how big a bunch of douche bags they are.
Which part of this game did you develop exactly? The characters? The game play? The maze layout?
I haven't heard the sound effects, just seen your screen shots, but I'd be willing to bet they sound exactly like "pacman" as well.
You've developed nothing. All you did was steal someone elses ideas and try and claim them as your own. This is exactly what copyright is for. Try developing your OWN game, then claim to be an Indy Game Developer.
I guess you missed my "or at least that's how they'll sell it to the media."
They don't care what/. thinks./. and 4chan are lost causes to them. They know that. My parents on the other hand, no matter how many times I try and explain to them the benefits of limited copyright terms, can't get past the idea of why people should get another persons hard work for free. In their mind Walt Disney created Mickey Mouse and as such the Walt Disney Corporation should have the rights to it's image forever. Anyone that doesn't think so is just trying to get something for nothing.
If you don't think the RIAA and MPAA will spin this in the exact way I described, you've got your head in the sand. If you think they'll view these DOS attacks as anything but a victory, you've got your head up your own ass.
If DOS'ing a website is wrong then why is Aiplex Software, a proxy of the MAFIAA, doing it too?
Because the RIAA and MPAA are respectable businesses that are only trying to protect their legitimate property, and 4CHAN are a bunch of scary anarchists that want to destroy everything you hold dear. or at least that's how they'll sell it to the media.
Just like you'd say that the parent's signed consent forms agreeing to the TheftTrack software, and how you'd say that a study funded by the defendants is an independent study. I think spun is a very appropriate name for you, since all you do is spin.
Really? So you don't think a ruling stating that monitoring an American citizen's internet activity would require a court ordered search warrant would have any bearing on something like this? http://news.cnet.com/8301-10784_3-9926899-7.html

...or they could just use Moody's or Fitch's rating instead of S&P's.
What makes you think that Congress doesn't want their campaign donors to be able to patent genes?
I'd love an invite if you happen to have an extra one. email: brian.f.thomasREMOVE@gmail.com (remove the remove) Thanks in advance.
If anyone still has a spare invite, I'd be much appreciative. brian.f.thomasREMOVE@gmail.com Just remove the REMOVE. Thanks in advance.

Maybe they just think their board of Directors and senior executives "suck" and/or "blow"?

Most people in the U.S. wouldn't know they live in a tyrannical state if it walked up and grabbed their junk.
They wouldn't, considering this is happening in airports all over the country every day.
Yeah, nobodies figured out how to make a potable tanker truck...

According to the BBC article he also threatened the President. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-11296303 Of course mentioning that in the summary wouldn't have gotten the /. Free Speach RAH RAH RAH cheerleaders dancing.
In case you were unaware, threatening the President of the United States is against the law in the US. http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/uscode18/usc_sec_18_00000871----000-.html If he'd done it in the US, my guess is he would have been arrested and deported.
