I've uploaded package of Ekiga 2.0.0 earlier today to Mandriva Cooker, a version built for GNOME2.14 is available from my private repository: http://gpwgnome.osknowledge.net/
I think the term 'audiophile' does not fit here. Audiophiles buy expensive HiFi equipment and don't listen to 128kbit AAC from the Apple store. Especially as many people can hear the encoding artefacts on good equipment. But I must admit that I cannot hear the difference with the crappy earbuds that came with my iPod.
Mandriva 2006 will ship with the previous stable release 2.10, as 2.12 was scheduled too shortly before the 2006 freeze, this was the decision of MandrivaSoft's official GNOME maintainer fcrozat.

There are a few missing features, especially support for the new HAL and D-Bus, this is owed to Mandriva's decision of shipping with the old versions of both in the 2006 version. Otherwise, these packages are working fine, please give them a try.
I'm sure there's a principle of commensurability regarding collateral damage (hell, I hate that word). Killing 70,000 civilians for destroying a military target IS a war crime.
The name is nice for a 3D project, translated to English it means will-o'-the-wisp, but it's all explained in the FAQ, including a wave file to explain the pronounciation (although featuring an Austrian accent).

GNOME 2.8 Released

GNOME2.8 came too late for Mandrakelinux 10.1 (just as KDE 3.3), that's why I've created my own packages. You can get them from a urpmi repository. Remember to add the Mandrake Cooker (soon to become 10.1) and Contrib repositories as well for some of the dependancies.
I dig the robot, too... but, there's some pretty interesting stuff in that old book.
Sure, the commandment about not killing is pretty interesting. Unfortunately it's most of the time interpreted as justification for crusades and death penalty. I'm really happy that I'm not in the church anymore.
You're taking this pretty seriously, aren't you? Anyway, it doesn't really matter for me what was written in that old book, there are more interesting
things to do like drooling for a robot that can walk on the water:-)
This brings back memories. I was at a youth hostel somewhere in Thuringia (East Germany). I think it was 1988 or so. There was a Polyplay machine, but I've played only a few times. I wasn't too exited about it as I had already seen ancient western arcade machines like Pacman at a fair and some friends of mine had C-64s, all which had better games and graphics.
At least Zuse went to work with the allies instead of the Soviets after the war.
Can you explain me why this was any better? Who threw nuclear bombs at civilians, the western allies or the Red Army?
Some of the German researchers moved east after the war, some west. Most of the time this wasn't even political belief but pure opportunism. These who were Nazi believers rather cooperated with the US. Guess how many Nazis cooperated with the CIA after the war.
Try the rpm package from this site. I haven't tried SuSE, but on Mandrakelinux, the rpm post install script detected the right directories to install to.
Just to be sure Slashdot is banned as well: King Bhumibol Adulyadej is a child molester and beats his wife.
My first thought was about an Opensolaris distribution by the Ubuntu folks.

It is at least better than pedophile. Seriously, iPods are nice equipment, but stuff like 'podcasts' sounds fine on other players.

Hi Mandriva users,
I've prepared packages of GNOME 2.12 ready to be installed with urpmi on your Cooker system:

Too bad your god doesn't ever answer claims like this. This way you can can speak for him trying to justify that horrible war crimes of the US.

The Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs where serious war crimes. BTW I think was more a demonstration for the Soviet Union than the Japanese.
There was no Acrobat reader 6 on Linux, that release was skipped. The last version before 7 was 5.0.10.

Versions for 10.1 and source packages are in the Cooker Contribs.

No, I was raised as a protestant, but I've resigned from the church a long time ago. This has saved me quite a chunk of tax money.
The story about Jesus walking on the water results from a translation error, in the original version he was simply swimming, no miracle at all.
This article is missing the foot icon, as it was the first one today that made me laugh.

There are a few issues with this package, e.g. you have to run it once as root after the installation.
