If you look like a terrorist and act like a terrorist, you will be treated as a terrorist. It's not the town's fault most terrorists look like clock boy or his relatives. The Muslim community needs to be more proactive in weeding terrorists out--otherwise they are just enabling them.Suing for $15 million proves you are a terrorist.

  2. Think of all those bath houses that will have to close because people can jump in the sea for free.

  3. The tests are designed to show what happens under a specific set of conditions and the standards are set to meet those criteria. The tests are repeatable and in no way represent actual driving conditions. So is it investigative journalism to report this fact? Or are you just trying to sell more newspapers? VW committed fraud to pass the tests. Show us some proof that somebody else did or just stick to your usual liberal socialist commentary.

  4. Re:Slashdot Paradox on Climatologists: By 2100, the Earth Will Have an Entirely Different Ocean · · Score: 0

Dire predictions are cash in these so-called scientists pockets. The same group predicted another ice age in the '70s and none of the models are validated as they cannot replicate past events, mostly because temperature does not equal CO2, a relatively weak greenhouse gas.

"On record" is the key here. Records don't go back all that far in geologic time, but people today think that all important things happen in their lifetimes. Myopia and self-absorption typify modern thinking.

When our glorious emperor is involved and prosecution is the responsibility of his hand-picked criminal lawyer (he's the criminal) what can you expect? A private interest group may be able to use the Freedom of Information Act to get some of the data and then file a lawsuit. But the problem is that neither the news media or the general public cares as much about this as who's winning on "Dancing with the Stars." After all, our emperor has been doing this sort of thing since he was elected and the voters reelected him. "We get the government we deserve"

  11. Who would prosecute? on How the NSA Plans To Infect 'Millions' of Computers With Malware · · Score: 0

Since the Attorney General is a pawn of the president, only those laws the president wants to be enforced are enforced. This is a government operation to put all the citizens of this country under government control, and approval of these programs goes all the way to the top. Maybe a private lawsuit would work, funded by deep pockets.

The world is complicated and people are getting stupider. Just come up with a disaster a few years out and demand money to study it and we anoint new gods to worship. At least the gods of ancient people provided rain, crops, game to hunt and shelter.

With all the credit card debt and the recent past history of taking out multiple mortgages on homes to finance vacations, kids apparently can't learn these skills at home. On the other hand, schools are always looking for taxpayer bailouts, so I'm not sure they are experts at personal finance, either. But, it is a noble idea to teach this country how to balance a budget. Skepticism about free lunches promised by politicians should be included along with the other types of fraud to beware of.
