whats the challenge of plugging a heater element into a power supply?
also its not new (this article originally aired in 2006), its not original (you can get cup heaters and even a toaster commercially well before this, heck there is even a sandwich press), and fun in my book is not a blown mother board and food poisoning at the same time
YES I personally hate opt out schemes, I dont mind that my public data is public, but I hate being signed up for all sorts of BS and then being told its my responsibility to go to a billion different "services" to tell them no
'Free' music is your god given right, so much so they government even gives it to you as a social service?
what happens when those cards run out (quickly)? Yea a bunch of 'kids' who now think they are entitled to it are going to steal it and have a whole new mindset about doing so
line number basic to total beginners installs bad habbits and nonsensical mumbo jumbo to get the simplest of flow done
its freakin 2010, basic is and has been crap since the 70's, and I cant figure out for the life of me why it still lingers like a stale fart
go with lua or python (which I dont like python) or any other interpreted language, its not 1978, my computer has more than 8k of ram, and the only reason I use basic anymore is for my Apple//C and I feel lazy to accomplish a simple task
These systems are designend to stop people walking off with entire client databases and that type of thing.
sorry, but who prints out an entire client database and photocopies it, if they have access to it surely in 2010 there is easier ways to transfer data from a computer to a computer
if they have access to small tidbits of information that grants them access to the system they can just as easily write it down for the same effect
and Xerox? aren't they one of the companies selling photocopiers that store a crapton of scans in an internal system, then when they are obsolete the "MIB" ship the fucker off to china for "recycling" without even knowing?
no, as a word from the consumer, either be responsible and make sure everyone knows what your systems exactly do and the dangers of them, or B make a standard dumb machine and mind your own bees wax
surely they will have the schools and other public sources of stupidity in mind and give out a predefined blacklist with product, do we really need a company giving us a censor list
Apple has not even gone that far (but give them a little more time)
never mind they offer dumb products to dumb people, like the very nice laser printer copier fax machine my company just purchased, that doesn't scan...
(even though all the bits are in place at a nice premium price and even more premium toner cost)
Oh yea, that thing I used to enjoy playing games on
I have a psp phat, I have bought maybe 15 games for it over its lifetime, I still own 4...
Maybe if they focused more on making / getting content for it instead of trying to get me to buy a new set of cables every revision of the machine, Then I could say I have found more than 4 games I honestly enjoy since I got the thing back in 2006 (versus my big binder of ps1 and ps2 games)
I don't even know where the silly thing is, I think its under my desk, I don't know I haven't touched it since I beat Chinatown wars
the only ones worried about this generation being exposed to it are IF fans with a touch of nostalgia
in response to your question neither, I want the response of "zork was great but yea its time to get some fresh material if anyone wants to see this come alive again"
Yea I know its failing, but instead of sending it on a death mission couldnt it just float around till it crapped out? maybe get every single last ounce out of it, and besides what is it going to hit?
of course my wife picks on me about how clean my plates are after eating so I am just that way
I know the bigwigs do, I know a few college students do, but for the other billion its presented as take it or go off and die, its really hard to stand up when there are thousands willing to dive into your seat
what about the American worker? I once watched a local company go on strike from their 26$ an hour fluff jobs and retirement plans to get their birthday's as a paid holiday
I can use a mouse fine right handed, when clunking around windows and hitting boxes in excel... pinpointing a noob a virtual mile away behind a log not so much

yea I could never think of a reason I would need to make a copy of an internal account number in a company setting
how many admins are the sales guy that knew how to hook computer to router though?
I disagree more, they suck

one of the main reasons transistors were sought out is to eliminate constant maintenance on electromechanical devices
so how long is one of these going to last at 500 degrees C running at ~500khz ?
