    If I just want to rent a DVD, I will go pay a buck twenty at a redbox. If I go to a rental store, I am automatically paying 3 to 5 times in premium for the same service that a vending machine provides... why would I pay even more for some arbitrary service when you really should be kissing ass for even having me as a customer in the first place?

    it = OO / LO (same damn thing)

    it is about a decade behind in many areas
    it cant handle massive spreadsheets
    it totally borks formatting and color when reading / writing MS office files

    it is perfectly fine when your going from screen to paper, personal or internal use and dont need all the features with no cost

    but like a tractor, its fine when your on your own land, but take it out on the road, and let everyone else interact with it ... its just going to piss people off

    I switched to mint back when all the ubuntu retardedness started, v9 was actually pretty good ... then in 10 things started breaking. Had to provide my own xorg.conf to set a standard 1280x1024 resolution, panels would insta-crash on boot, and wanted to delete themselves and rebooting your linux machine 2 or 3 times to get full functionality wore thin in a matter of days.

    11 didnt fix anything, but gave me scrollbars that auto hid, 12 gave us gnome3 but with dual menu systems, gnome 3's and mints which broke half the time I tried. thats about the time I said F it, its a nice system when it works, but it seems to be very fragile and since I am not a linux nerd I just want to turn on the machine and get shit done ... not fiddle with the OS constantly

    nowdays I just use xubuntu or plain ol debian.

    I have administrated a VB fourm and I honestly have never seen one single thing that made it stand out OTHER than the fact that it cost money, and its equals were free.

    Hard to integrate? not any worse than VB, your going to have to edit a file sometime
    Features? out of the box yea VB, addons no, not even close

    no, it means its warrantied until they stop making it, and its impossible for them to replace it.

    most consumer electronics companies are required to keep parts 3 years.

    When I had to deal with it, we had a few irate calls a month cause someone bought a digital piano in 1989 and could not get replacement parts in 2009 when it shat on itself.

    sorry, no ... I dont owe them anything, and they dont owe me anything. They had a good product that I used frequently and now (IMO) they dont so I dont use it. I tried expressing my opinion and they felt that not only mine, but the majority of peoples opinion was worthless, and they keep steam-rolling down this path on something that pretty much everyone but you seem to dislike.
