I don't buy the 10% of games I want that are console exclusives, not least because I only own a Wii. And, whether I do or don't, what bearing does this have on the validity of the existence of platform-exclusive titles? Whatever that means.
I've downloaded all the ROMs I've used because I don't know how to get them onto my PC. However, I've only downloaded ROMs for games which I actually bought back in the day.
The end result is as if I'd ripped them myself but without the hassle of actually doing it. I've heard certain LG DVD drives can read Nintendo discs but that's as much as I know.
As someone who uses his PC to run my current gen games (90% of the ones I want come out on PC), Gamecube, Wii and GBA games (gotta love emulators), as well as watch TV shows and movies, listen to music, browse the internet and do anything else a computer can do for about £350 I concur.
Laws themselves are patchwork. Each one represents the failing of understanding. You don't know how to get people to stop driving drunk so you outlaw it, you don't know how to get people to stop gassing each other so you outlaw it.
Well then the correct solution would be to remove the need or desire for people to want to gas each other by using the resources of the Earth responsibly and efficiently, utilising the best known science and technology, without the restrictions of imaginary ownership and contrived money sequences, to create a society conducive to peace and health. Peace and health are values which have no cultural relativity. Only a really insane person would want to destroy such a system, and reducing self-destructive behaviour like the destruction of another person is what a society conducive to health would be about. There would be no need for dominance and subordination because everyone could be fed, housed and educated equally and freely, driven by their own inborn desire to better themselves and thereby bettering all others. Science shows that dominance and subordination are not conducive to health. And science is not a cold thing or only half of the picture, it's literally the understanding of nature, which is the Universe and everything in it including ourselves. Technology is the application of science, and includes everything from wheels to computers. To build a society along these lines and thereby aligning with our understanding of the state and functions of the Universe is, of course, natural and conducive to peace and health. A Utopia is not possible unless perfection is actually attainable, but by tending towards perfection is the surest way to find out.
So, again, the correct solution is not to ban the technology. I mean it may be a good short-term solution but it's patchwork.
In a homogeneous group there is no problem that can be recognized, there is only what is and that is what is right and must be. If every citizen of the world had the same value system it would not be subject to analysis, right? Like an asexually reproductive organism it is unable to react to some new disease. If everyone had the same value system there would be no problem even if people were killing each other in the streets as part of that value system.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Well no, a person's circumstances which are out of their control can make them do things they don't want to do, even things they think are wrong. I think working in place of a machine is wrong, but I have no choice in this.
You are technically correct; the best kind of correct.
Fear.
If we could digitize our consciousness it would simplify space exploration a lot.
Classy lady.
Maybe, but so is the number of accidents caused by placemats.
So basically, don't worry about it.
Don't we all?
I agree. Get brainwashed, watch a show - that's the trade.

How does it know a different ass from the same ass which has changed?
I propose a slight alteration: Politics = Money = Corruption.
Authority as truth rather than truth as authority, right buddy?
Nobody has mentioned Abe's Oddysee yet?
Well not with that attitude mister.

As they say: Politics is economics by other means.
Everyone in my entire year at least knew RE was a joke class.
