    Specific to your troll, though, is that in fact the programmer DOES NOT need to do memory management beyond the basics of "don't keep allocating resources and never release them" (specifically database and file handles). The JVM itself does all the management beyond that. This article and book refer to tuning the JVM and J2EE server, which run the programmers code. The programmer shouldn't give a fig how the container is tuned beyond common sense.

    This is not a socialist government characteristic, it is a behavior shared by any authoritarian organization. You should read about the whole wikileaks thing for more details

    Android is open source, how hard could it be to download the code and look into it to find those elusives security apis ?
    I have rolled custom firmware onto an android device using the instruction on some forums, and it worked great, if a dude with is budgies can do it, why can't they ?

    I think that your are quite right, they deserved to die. They were mismanaged, I had a minor role at Sun, in 2006, as a campus ambassador, but still I had to report to three different boss that each gave me partially conflicting objectives. I can imagine that higher up the hierarchy the management could only get worse

    Also They were into a lot of greenfield project that did not have any hint of business case behind them. Sure it is a good idea to fund one or two of those projects, since you never know what might come out but to bet the company on that, it is reckless.
