    Well, exactly.... I mean, did we think that the RIAA represented the artists anyway? I'd forgotten about the musician's union - has anyone heard anything from them on this issue? I can't see anything on the AFM site (but I can't see much at all, not being a member) - and I can't see (scanning quickly) any reference to the AFM in the Recording Artists Coalition website.

    Are the AFM really doing nothing about Work For Hire?

    Well, the RIAA (obviously) represents the recording industry (what does the acronym stand for?). Quote from their "Who we are" page: "Our members are the record companies that comprise the most vibrant national music industry in the world."

    I guess that shold answer your question - the RIAA represents the companies, not the artists. The companies should represent the artists, but they're too busy making a fast buck.

    Well, I'll be boring and say I like Michael Moorcock. Don't know who this Mike Moorcock chap is though.....

    Seriously, Moorcock is a fine author. He's had his crap periods (I've never been able to read "The Time Of The Hawklords", and I'm a great Hawkwind fan....), but overall, Moorcock is worth a read. Just compare his imagination and style with these crappy 700/800 page fantasy epics by Robert Jordan.....

    I don't often like seeing a movie once I've read the book - and I certainly wasn't going to see LoTR. That is, until I saw the trailer at the cinema. Man, I was taken by the whole thing. Okay, the faces and some scenes are "wrong", but that's only because I'm used to my own imagination. The battlescenes are awe-inspiring, and in general I am very impressed.

    Well, I guess you won't want to install the product that I write an installshield for then, it overwrites a whole load of stuff in windows\system || winnt\system32. C'mon, it's hardly uncommon for an installation package to do this, get a brain you clueless half-wit!
