Slashdot and Digg are not capable of censorship. The first ammendment states "Congress shall make no law....". Slashdot is not Congress, Digg is not Congress.
If you don't like what happens on a website, don't go there, start your own. That's the real democracy of the internet.
So, I'm not a 'programmer' but I love Linux and maybe I can contribute to the effort by learning more about structured testing and doing it in my spare time. My little contribution.
This is what they're doing to get all the people that have been complaining about being forced to pay a monthly fee for what amounts to TV listings. This is all I would need, I'm sure the other features are cool but I don't care. I watch very little TV, less than 10 hours per month, mostly F1 lately. I just want to pick out a few shows and tell it to record. The free service is all I need.
The only thing holding me back is the fact that they still don't offer service to Canadians.
The SR 71 Blackbird flies at a maximum altitude of about 80,000 ft with a top speed of about 2000 MPH. Countries with real military resources have been trying to shoot these things down for decades with no success.
This was very much a move taken directly against SearchKing and only SearchKing.
Are you sure only SearchKing? I'm sure there must be other link farms and even geocities and other sources of noise that are penalized by google's formula.
That's the service they provide, seperating the wheat from the chaff.
The nice thing about having it available through your local cable company is that you presumably won't have to pay an additional fee to download the channel listings.
These are the same people that created a shitstorm in Canada with their 'negative option billing'. All of a sudden you would get an extra bunch of chanels and if you didn't phone them to cancel they would start charging you for them.
I'm making a note here, huge success.
What's to stop people from using nickel plated, chromed, or otherwise mirror finished missiles?
Did he get confused when someone explained to him what a secure password is and you shouldn't use your name?
Wow, it really is like second life.
This is exactly why I'm trying not to get too excited about Spore. It's still a year away.
Link is to page 1 of 7?
"Next Generation" is a good name for the site anyway.

It's the use of alcohol and marijuana that leads to the use of violent video games.
>This is simply not true. Dynamic friction (skidding) is lower than static friction.
Makes sense, but, if your tire is 'locked' to the road then your brake pads are 'skidding' on your rotor.
The question is, does a skidding tire on dry asphalt give more friction that a skidding brake pad on a rotor?
From the robotics trends link...
In a manner similar to humans, the 77 pound as yet unnamed robot has artificial lips which can alter their position subtly....
Why spend all that money?
We already know the answer is 42.
How about Titanium man and the Crimson Dynamo?
Okay,

Is there a 'bible' of software testing?
I don't know, I think it's pretty cool to be able to do this at smooth frame rates.
Compared to what you were doing on your 486.
The porn is much better now too.

Good point, I subscribe to HollywebDVD in Canada. But, I think it's more of a licensing problem.
Hopefully the Apple Itunes store evolves into a video rental outlet of some sort.

The shuttle was at 200,000 ft going 12,000 MPH
It wasn't terrorists.
But Tivo doesn't offer service to Canadians. I don't understand it. The Tivo could even call the same 800 number for program guides.
And they won't even sell one to a canadian to use as a manual dvr.
Why don't they want our money?

It doesn't suprise me that Rogers would do this.

maybe they would have done a better job than worldcomm

What happens when you hail one of these things after it has just dropped off a bunch of college freshmen at 3am on a Saturday morning?
