Where's that Edit Post button again? Sure I use Waterfox as Default but still keep Firefox around. Both use uBlock Origin and PrivacyBadger. Both cookies.sqlite are easy to copy/replace....
....mod him flamebait all you want, but he's right. Sourceforge has had a redirect to localhost on my network for quite some years, now.
... short of just rebranding and building a new community. I don't know of anyone who has still forgiven them for injecting adware into downloads.
... Same spammy looking site it's been for 15 years. Still a pain to find the link to source code as well, when code should be what appears in front, on top, by default. Want to see changes? Can't find that list anywhere either.
China. Great place but,... not for the whole weekend.
I've blocked more than 13,000 Chinese IP's since the beginning of 2015 for breaking my own website rules.
13,000 plus Chinese IP web blocks. Check it out: http://itnorthwest.ca/deny-by-...
Boo Ya.
I use DuckDuckGo whenever possible, and !bangs when I need to use google. I don't use gmail, nor do I have a google account.
.... Again, it's more useless crap to supposedly make things more "convenient", when really it's just convincing you to buy more crap that will end up at the Goodwill in a few years.
I'm a Brit. I found Seattle fun(ner) before 2001. In 1999 it took me less than fifteen minutes from West Seattle to Bellevue. In 2003 when I left - a disgrace. Anyways, for that and other reasons, I'm ecstatic to be away from Seattle.
How I wish that I could Cut & Paste what I wanted to quickly and easily - just like in the old days. Cutting text in Word is - always - a nightmare and it's suggestions are - always - less than helpful. I agree let's go back to the functionality of the 2000/3 version. Thank Buddha I still have a couple of versions installed. Word 'functionality' is an oxy... If you've ever tried to get anything done with Tables or moving text round then it's taken you way longer than it used to.
Apparently it is not all ad-blockers that Forbes blocks. I use uBlock Origin and Privacy Badger [FF] and a couple of thousand entries in an Hosts file.
I see the Forbes article just fine.
Me Personally?
I use Firefox with the uBlock Add-in, HTTPS everywhere and a hosts file. That's all...
I used to use noscript too but, not sure why I don't anymore. Probably because my travels are narrow [I'm not in marketing] and also that I'm just not overly interested in clicking anything on the cesspool they call the internet.
How quickly things change - a comment from Ghostery's add-in page.

Warning -
Once a well functioning ad-in, several weeks ago it stopped preventing Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus and other wide ranging trackers. All their icons and functionality are now visible on lots of sites, even Ghostery's site. I've reported this several times, yet there has been only one response with no status or progress.
I would caution users about this now.
This is happening on Windows & Android machines running Firefox.
just what i was thinking...

I've tried both Pale Moon and Waterfox. I now use Waterfox as my Default Browser.

Nope. Nope. Nope.
"Fool me once.......twice, shame on me."
Rhetorical for sure but why is it so difficult to write a proper post, first or second time, on Slashdot.whatever?

Thanks for all the Headzup but I've never seen it in my Add-ons. And it's still not there in v. 57.0.2 64-Bit. Is this maybe just a US thing?
+1 "We need a new internet"
Blow Daddy?
Canada, a great place to visit but, not for the whole weekend. (Thanks Henry).
I thought at first that I saw: "Destroy This WiFi-Connected Dell" and was quite ready to read anyways. What wasn't I thinking? Shocking!

Sorry, will never ever use Google Search because, well ya know, just because...
Fuck Windows 10 and everything to do with it. Forever....
WordPress has many great features but between insecure plugins and a constantly updating core system, it just takes too much time to administer
This. A thousand times.
is that you Kilgore?
In deed.... Who knew? Not I.
What's Tumblr? Never been there. Please, why should I? Also, Ads - what are those? Haven't seen one for a few years now....

I like the WordFence comment - in spite of the almost constant baby-sitting WF requires..
