You're missing the point. The point isn't that it's a USB. The point that it *isn't* after-market. This is an actual official update from Ford that Ford expects the customer to install himself. This is the first time that an auto manufacturer has had customers do this sort of thing (as opposed to the customer doing it behind their backs with after-market DVDs or whatever).
It is compared to having to take the car to the dealership and having *them* plug in the USB stick--which up until now was the only way they would do official patching.
Nobody's going to can relativity on the basis of one experiement done at one facility, even if it's consistently repeatable. There's just too much chance that you overlooked something, no matter how careful you are (and OPERA, to their credit, have apparently been *very* careful). The problem is that there's no other facility that can do this experiment at the required precision, and with no idea as to what we're actually seeing, there's no way to design another experiment to get another look at it. The next big news will be when MINOS's upgrades come on line in 2012. Then we'll have independent confirmation (or not).
Nobody. There's no established law about the moon in any practical sense. There's the the Moon Treaty, which pretty much bans any commercial exploitation of the moon--but no country that actually has space flight has ratified it, making it effectively dead.
The fact that all but the slowest readers read by recognizing the pattern of the written word rather than sounding it out in their head has been known for decades. It's what led to the academic de-emphasis on phonics for learning reading. Unfortunately, the education experts didn't stop to consider that sounding out the word in your head over and over is how you *learn* to recognize it by sight.
Don't even need to promise never to back it to content. "$10/year and you never sell this name to anybody else, however you don't have to actually set up and serve any DNS records for this name."
The richest nations on the planet will always find it cheaper to outsource and offshore, because they're also the most expensive labour markets.
False. The richest nations on the planet will *sometimes* find it cheaper to outsource and offshore, because they're also the most expensive labour markets. Lack of capital, lack of accessibility, lack of training, combined with the fact that often the labor costs are not a big chunk of the unit cost, can still make the rich nation the cheapest place.
At home: Games. Of the PC OSes, Windows remains the only serious contender for games. My Windows box is essentially one of my game consoles. Everything else gets done on my Linux host.
At work: Windows-only applications that I'm required to use to get my job done, most notably our trouble-ticket/change-ticket application. Also to run MS Office when I get docs that LibreOffice won't translate correctly (which is frequently, unfortunately). Those get handled by a Windows VMware client that runs inside my Linux laptop which does everything that doesn't require Windows.
My class started with 18 people, and graduated with 12.... Of the 18 people I started with, only 7 of us eventually completed the school and graduated.
That's what many ISP and hosts are trying to let you believe. In reality, when you get your IPs from APNIC / ARIN / RIPE, that's not the way it works. You wouldn't pay more if you were needing more IPs.
That's great...if you're getting your IPs from APNIC / ARIN / RIPE. If you're getting your IPs from your ISP, you'll pay what they say they cost or you can just stay offline.
Campaign donations not spent in a campaign can be pocketed afterwards, so there is a legal way to basically bribe any politician.
In US, at least, that is not true. Using a campaign fund for personal expenses is prohibited. Usually if a congressman retires with money in the kitty, he turns it over to the party, or occasionally the campaign fund of a friend.
Can't you install freebsd packages via puppet? The upgrade path should be the same.
In reality, the nearly constant state of screwed up dependencies in the ports tree makes it pretty much impossible to keep those 30 systems up to date without serious amounts of manual prodding.
Puppet's not going to do him much good if he has to keep manually fixing broken depencies to make the upgrade work.

I've got a hand gesture for you!

Lord knows I've never trusted the Canadians.
So you're telling me people in tents can't have carpets? Interesting.

Let us not forget the Mugwumps, as well! And the Tory party themselves are celebrated with a name that was originally Irish for "robber".
Wow, you're not only not stupid, you're psychic, too. How long have been able to read minds?
As a member in good standing of the Monster Raving Loony Party, I am deeply offended by this post.

Becuase, Lord knows, there will always be a supply depot right there to hand you another one.
Face it, in combat you need equipment that WORKS, all the time, in spite of whatever abuse might be thrown at it.
Well, whatever they choose, it's gonna be made in China, so that's not really a handicap.
There's an app for that!

Pretty much. It's achieved with a pressure/density that's far beyond anything achievable on earth.

Was it 12 or 7?

I like my women like I like my coffee...covered in BEES!

Right here.
