I liked Aardvark, sure there were the "let me Google that for you" questions but all in all it was quite interesting. Unfortunately, within 3 months of Google buying them, nothing was going on, the admins disappeared and nothing new was happening.
Looks like Google bought them, stripped the tech they wanted and left it to rot.
Agree, also it will cost $25,000 per annum on top of that. I think people jumping on the "this is bad" idea before reading all the facts. Go read this. Spending $200,000 and waiting 9-20 months just to get it taken down a week later isn't worth it, even for high rolling criminals.
Especially if the girl giving you head has a few rows of sharp teeth pointing backwards. Well maybe if you are into that kind of thing it wont bother you...
Exactly!
The whole "Google voice to replace skype" argument is void if you live outside the US (95.5% of the world). Also this whole "OMG WE NEED TO MOVE AWAY FROM SKYPE CAUSE MICROSUCK0RZ" is really annoying. Too many/. articales spent on this pointless debate. As long as skype does what it does now, I am happy and will continue to use it.
Remember before Y2k almost all computer manufacturers placed "Y2k Compliant" or "Y2k Ready" logos on everything from bare computer cases to speakers? Well I cant wait for my "IPv6 Ready" USB keyboard...
THE INTERWEBZ EXPLODZ!!!
Ok no seriously, once ICANN allocates the final blocks the IPv4 space will be declared as "used up" but it is still up to the regional RIRs to *use* those IPs. ie if ICANN issues IPs they are not automatically used. Thus it will still be a while after that when they are really all used up. Even then we could maybe see a sharing of sub-blocks between regional RIRs (?) For example AfriNic will probably have quite a surplus if it receives another/8 range.
Lastly there are (not so preferable) technologies available such as NAT to allow the internet to continue functioning as it did (more or less).
In the end we will need to move to IPv6.
Read the linked article, they go into the details.
"Unfortunately, Google did a poor job of clarifying the potential of Wave or helping users understand how to embrace and utilize it. The initial excitement gave way to confusion, followed by apathy, and eventually to Google deciding to kill the project--at least as far as Google hosting and supporting it is concerned."
I really hope Wave lives on. It is really a great idea albeit a bit to ambitious for its time (The whole lets replace email overnight thing). Maybe with some TLC from the OS community and a while in the incubator we can have a truly ripe and great piece of software.
Excellent post!
Agreed that getting angry is a very bad idea. Cool down and have a calm non-hostile conversation with them. Afterward you can be more aggressive.
Obviously they all study engineering...
Try it, bitches.

Depends on where you are going. Malaria, for example is not found in most of South Africa (except the northern most parts)
Done for you ;)

Wish I had points to mod up. Just made my day!
Yes please note the difference between *hashed* and *encrypted* as passwords are usually hashed to obfuscate them.

The recession caused budget cuts and layoffs in the "does-aquaman-know?" dept.

My pet lion is pretty social? Now what? (Lions are social animals and part of the same family as domesticated cats)
