    What i find odd is that his shorter lines are always on the center of the page. Perhaps he started writing from the middle, then expanded outwards. Otherwise, he would have had to know exactly how long each of his lines were going to be before he wrote them. Really interesting stuff.

    That Time Warner App is a sad and pathetic first step in comparison to even things like Hulu. Those customers are PAYING for the PRIVILEGE to watch their shows! It doesn't matter if they watch it on their TVs, Computers, Ipads. The commercials are still being piped in (which is all those execs should care about), who gives a crap if they watch TV while walking from room to room.

    Cry me a river TV execs, build a damn bridge, and get over it.

    ... none of which should be necessary. This is the reason why people malign the site. It's a bait-and-switch site, even if there are ways to get around it (but you shouldn't need to in the first place).

    Exactly, thats why this tool is so useful (I have been using the chrome add-on since it came out). You could spend the time scrolling down to the bottom of the page to get your info, or you could go to the next google hit down. In principle it has saved me a lot of time to just keep on looking. That and I am not feeding the trolls at experts-exchange.

    Yes, it would be uncharacteristic for MS to settle on a versioning scheme. We've already had version numbers, two-digit years, four-digit years, single-digit numbers, acronyms and names. The only thing left is using nonsensical symbols like Prince did; TOSFKAW.

    I am betting on Greek symbols, or one of the curse words I invent while staring at a Blue Screen Of Death.

    I am quite happy that these SSD are becoming so fast. Hopefully soon personal desktops will come out with one of these as well as a disk HD. These SSDs serve a really neat niche of providing mid-range speed (compared to RAM) while still providing a large enough memory to store meaningful stuff. ZFS is really taking the right idea with smart usage of the speed and storage capacity of SSDs.

    One step at a time, I doubt many of us slashdotters could catch an urban freerunner. Give the technology a little time to grow, I am sure that once the tech as matured there will be many such uses for walking machines.

    If you have something hosted online, you should always have an offline backup. Look at the gmail account deletion a couple of days ago. Always trust yourself above the web and get a Terabyte hard drive and keep all the pics you want on there as well as on Facebook. You can get one for around $100 bucks and store all the pictures you want to keep.
