    As a teenager, I used to buy tickets in the "bleechers" with my friends to watch the most talented Montreal Expos ever. We were going to make it to the series and they came with the strike, cancelled the series and because of the lack of money, the following winter, we lost all our good players.

    I never went back, bought anything anymore or watch or listened to anything associated with MLB ever since.

    There is much better sports anyways

    I know, I rented it just to make sure of what exactly I was getting. The TV spots are boring once you saw the first one, it's about all the same footage you see.

    There is nothing woth it in there. I suggess you grab the books for that price instead ;-)

    This is a myth for the non techie, it's transistor density that doubles every 18 months, not the number of transistors.

    Not like I will let myself be annoyed by this lame new adv system.

    Since you started this, I mapped image.slashdot.org into my dns, made an entry into apache locally, wget -rx all the important graphics so the design looks nice and all the ads from "banner" are gone.

    If your so worried about losing cash, why not look at the money out?

    It's not like exodus is the best or the only bandwidth provider around?

    Have you checked into this? you can get a 100Mbits for 8k from http://www.verio.com nowadays, 1-3k from http://www.cogentco.com not like 30-40k from exodus! Not that I expect /. uses that much anyways, but thats something you should look into.
