"In Malaysia last year, a man suspected of drug-smuggling and sentenced to death..."
Wait, he was sentenced to death on suspicion of drug smuggling? If you are going to kill people because you think they might have committed a crime how DNA obfuscating the facts really make that much of a difference?
Eve has indeed come a long way to handle lag since SMASHKILL. NC jumped a 700 man fleet into M-0 on the 30th against BoBs 350. The fight was actually extremely playable for quite a while, right up until the node crashed. Since then CCP has moved to push a number of servers from 4GB of memory to 12GB. StacklessIO has done a lot to alleviate lag, a few more upgrades and pretty soon we should see 1200+ fleet battles reasonably playable.
As someone who has seen many classic monster films I have to say that it seems obvious to me that there is some sort of giant underwater reptile or shark feeding on the energy in those lines.
A lot of this comes accross as scare tactics, imo. Fungal spores are very, very small things. So you have several thousand per gram, and a million of em on your pillow. How does this compare to other non-pillow personal objects? Is this unusual? It would have been nice if the reporter commented on data from the negative control such as a pillow nobody sleeps on. Furthermore, what percentage of these million fungi are actually pathogenic?
Some 203 years after the fact it finally looks like the french might have made the right choice selling off Louisiana. If only they had taken that lame accent with them when they left.

I can't imagine a much worse fate then having to hang out at work forever after I die.

Common. We all know the only way to deal with zombies is massive head trauma.

We like the boats. The boats that go boom.
The real danger comes 20 years after these get put into production when one runs for governor of California.
And 90% of all statistics are made up.

Seriously, this is one of the best semiconductor physics sites I've ever seen. Informative too.
