Not trolling, it's the truth. Apple flat out says the only way to get code onto an iThing is through Apple. This Mozilla doodad "duplicates system functionality" of the App Store.
I also think it's a stupid idea on my Android device, wouldn't install it on my BlackBerry, and doubt that MS will allow it on WinPho 7.
The reasons aren't obscure at all. Management rammed idle down slashdot's throat back in the day and as a sign of protest, they made it suck as hard as possible. Now they are pretty much just phoning it in, so don't expect any fixes.
Um, I'm pretty sure the stock browser in Froyo has the ability to run plugins, and Flash is in the Market. Sounds like Adobe did an awesome job of recreating their desktop experience on my phone. Well, HTC on Adobe's behalf. Course, the entire point of securing the rest of the userland is kind of lost when you can just gain root through a fork bomb with no permissions needed...
Tethering is part of the OS and is sitting there in the network menu where you'd expect it. There are also applications you can download from the market that accomplish the same thing.
Tethering isn't a terribly compelling reason to root the G2, considering you just have to check a box in the network settings. The only reason I even installed VISIONary is to add some shit to my hosts file to make my Angry Birds experience better.
Because fuck Opera and fuck everyone who can't stop gushing about it whenever someone mentions a fucking web browser. No one cares what fucking browser you use.
See what happened there? Flame. Catch AIDS. Smooches!
It doesn't work in landscape mode for several panels, so you get to rotate your phone manually. The stupid notification that won't go away is lovely, and there is no way to merge contacts. Also, 9MB? Seriously? Maybe later, but I doubt it.
Yep. Congrats on posting your cool story a half dozen times. I hope CA continues raping your corpse.
Cool story, bro.

Also, Steve Jobs will say no.
'they can't find qualified Americans"
They aren't lying, they just aren't saying the rest of that phrase, "for what we are willing to pay."

Christ on a stick, you are all fucking taints.

Now what exactly can this do that any shitty webcam can't?
Not sure why, film at 11.
Shhh! The less whiny nerdrage, the better.

They already did stop selling things that don't make money- the hobbyist phones.

And you can't modify the radio software. Why is that ok?
Sounds accurate. Bricks can't play online with a different version of the software, either.
Didn't you hear me? Fuck you and fuck Opera.

Boeing, boeing, gone?
What the happy fuck are you rambling about, ac?
Ugly font rendering and kinda jerky on my G2. Also uses a fuckload of ram and storage. I'm not impresses.

Sure, just like you can share my internet connection by splicing a Y onto my network cable.
That one line of throwaway dialog sure did tie up some loose ends...
Slashdot loved Loki, too. How are they doing again?
