Yeah, I decided to move to AT&T after the Early Termination Fee hike and THIS just enforces that I made the right decision. What an utterly boneheaded move on their part.
Holy smokes! You have put into a perfect post my exact thoughts from the last couple of months. Especially since I work for one of those multinational corporations that I haven't been able to leave due to our BS jobless economic recovery. Talk about an oxymoron phrase that I could NOT believe was actually being used by the media. I mean, seriously, how the fuck do you expect the economy to recover if new jobs aren't being created?!
How true. I am one of those geeks that prefers that type of woman. The always sobbing girlfriend or wife has always been a major turn-off. Of course, being from a Latino background, we are used to our women being fiery:-)
That's the product line that has REALLY saved The Lego Group. The sales figures for that line alone are staggering. And as an AFOL, I can verify that the design quality and playability of their recent products have improved substantially. My kids continue to go back to their Lego collection to play with long after the novelty of the latest toy that they've received for their birthday\Xmas\whatever has worn off. As a friend of mine has always said, it's a thousand toys in one.
This is a perfect example of why these exclusive contracts with one carrier (regardless of who it is) is a Bad Thing (tm). Innovation and competition are easily squashed. And we, the consumers, continue to get screwed like sheep.
Aside from the original X-Wing trilogy, the MechWarrior series of games have always been my favorites! I can't even begin to account for all of the time I lost playing those online.
Great! Now the moon's going to be hurled out of Earth's orbit and we're going to be SCREWED as the tidal waves and earthquakes destroy our world. Did anyone at NASA even bother to watch Space:1999??!
Greed.....just as old as prostitution, war and slavery.
Personally, I'm surprised MS hasn't moved out already. Not to mention plenty of other greedy corporations like the one that I work for. More and more, I'm beginning to think that it's time to get out of IT. The "bottom line" is all these fuckers truly care about. All I know is that karma will eventually catch up to them.
Where do you think the salary for Congress comes from.....the tooth fairy?
It's a waste of our tax $$'s that they spent so much of their time debating and passing this law INSTEAD of working on issues that actually matter! In the big picture of our current economic environment, this should have been a non-issue.
I'd like to personally thank those in Congress that voted for this delay. All that this proves is that you are all a bunch of fucktards that continue to waste my tax dollars on USELESS laws. How about instead you actually DO something about our fucked up economy, terrible education system, health care and half dozen OTHER more important issues that need to be resolved before our way of life spins down the toilet completely.
No, no, no....you're title is all wrong. It's Vista R2, not SP3. Obviously, you haven't been keeping up with Microsoft's naming convention standards;-)
As for everyone else's comments on what Vista R2 can or cannot run on, you missed the point. In an Enterprise environment (>30,000 desktops, laptops, etc) the cost of testing and rolling out something like Win 7 is huge. And given the current economic environment, I can safely say that the big-ass global company that I work for has exactly $0.00 in the budget for an OS upgrade.
XP works and it works with everything that we have. No reason to fix what's not broken. And that's the reality that a LOT of Enterprises are going to be in for a while. Just cause it comes with a new Dell, doesn't mean that we can roll it out to the business.
Who cares when it will be released. Windows Se7en will still require the outlandish hardware that Vista does. Most Enterprises will not be migrating to it anytime soon due to cost and time of upgrading desktops and application incompatibility for their outdated software that they rely on to keep the business running. Trust me, I see this first hand at my job.

Did someone call me? ;-)

Excellent Casino quote too. Very accurate.
Oh I know. I'm just saying that I'm familiar with the "type" and I LIKE EM! :-D

ROFL!! I would have modded you up if you hadn't posted as a AC.
uNf! uNf! uNf!
As a citizen of the State of Wisconsin, I'm glad to see where my tax dollars are being wasted. Thanks Gov. Doyle and our dumba$$ lawmakers.

...to PostgreSQL. Seriously, I already use it for GpsDrive. Now I just need to convince the Cacti devs to switch over.
I can't wait to see what RMS is going to say in his reply :-)
...is in my PANTS! Oh-YEAH! ;-)
...is a result of my wifes bitchy mood swings and my damn kids. Other than that, I'm LIVING THE DREAM, BABY! ;-)
What an appropriate and outstanding signature you have. And unfortunately, it's true :-(
Sounds like Facebook users have a future career in Marketing :-)
