If they had set the cut off date to Feb 1st (Super Bowl Sunday), I bet all of those lazy ass idiots would have scrambled to get their boxes cut over. Now THAT would have generated a "stimulus package" without costing us any $$. Circuit City might even have remained in business, too.:-)
True. I suppose you can use your hand in those situations...or the iPhone. Perhaps someone can create a small TP printer and application so that if you ever do run out, you can always use your iPhone to make more. Now THAT would be really handy:-)
RTFP: I said components, not the CPU fan. As someone else stated HD's, power supplies, overclocked GPU's....THOSE are the real noisemakers unless you use major passive or water cooling. The BFF over the CPU is only part of the solution.
My only concern would be the noise level from all of the components. I suppose it wouldn't matter if I had "quiet" devices. Overall pretty cool looking case.
Man, talk about one of my all time favorite games along with Tie Fighter. Great story and overall game play. It's too bad that X-Wing vs Tie Fighter just didn't work out as well as the originals. Now, the game that I really wanted to play was the Babylon 5 space sim that was canceled waaay back in early 2000. That baby looked great!
I did read the article however, I must have missed that part. It's not that I hate the "Kashew" altogether...I just hate that I can't MOVE the freakin thing to say the bottom of the window.
Unlike many other users, I prefer my panel at the top of the screen (and no, I am not an ex-MAC user). IMO, menus flow better from the top down. And that thing is just in the way.
I saw a premiere of SR over the weekend and was quite pleased at the results. It's a PG movie and they have OBVIOUSLY geared it towards families.
With that said, there is still certainly enough action, story and overall fun to keep all ages involved. Having grown up watching Speed Racer during it's first run (yes, I'm that old), I can say that they did a very good job of bringing the cartoon to life. The special effects were outstanding and all of the characters were dead on.
Overall, I would go and see it again and I'm actually planning on seeing it on the IMAX this Friday. My 4 year old son also enjoyed it. Now, the truly painful part was having to explain SR to him since he has never seen the cartoons. Good thing I have the DVD's:-)
I'd swear I saw a plug-in that does exactly this. I'll have to check when I get back to the home PC since work blocks all external IM traffic even though we have the ability to control what can and can't be done with our IM client.
Corporate America....talk about set in your ways..oy!
Holy shit! I used to use Homesite back in '96. I had no idea it was still in existence. Then again, I used to use Notepad and it's still around, too. I always got a kick out of the "Made with Notepad" websites:-)
I'm sure it was '98 for me. I had just started using Linux and someone mentioned I should checkout a website called "slash-dot." Needless to say, if I ever remember who the bastard was that pointed me here, I'll make him PAY for nine years of website addiction! "KHAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNN!!!!"
I use it mostly for recording some shows during the day for the wife and a few that I can't sit down to watch at night due to parenting obligations. Hence the usefulness of the guide. If I miss a recording then yes, I'll find the D/L. Other than that, I use it as my primary DVD, Video, MAME, Music, Photos home unit. I'm sure that the Myth Crew will find an alternative. Hell, they have almost 4 months to figure something out. That's a lifetime in coding;-)
For me, Heavy Metal is a way to sooth my anger. The angrier the music (NIN, SoAD, Slipknot, etc.) the quicker I come down from being pissed off. And hey, it's cheaper than therapy:-D
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! for showing your true colors in writing. Perhaps now, all of the doubters will finally understand what we've known for the last seven years. That would be that the RIAA only cares about themselves. Hugs and kisses to Lars!

...I'm not dead. See? I'm posting on Slashdot.
I just traded it in for another game cause I thought it sucked compared to GH 1 & 2.

....just use your iPhone while you're on the can to read it. Isn't that why they upgraded it to 3G?
Majel,
Thank you for all of your contributions to Star Trek and Sci Fi in general. No computer ever sounded better. You will be missed.

..or at the very least you'll get DDoS'd from the people that can't just click the sale button only once ;-)

ROFL!! What an absolutely TRUE statement!!
...is that the RIAA's legal tactics are a SCAM, not a SHAM.

Hopefully they've gotten rid of that freakin' kidney shaped thing in the upper right corner. Talk about a useless static "feature". ugh!

Exactly! No doubt that's the real reason for the heavy duty hardware requirements.

And I just got my MythTV box update to some nice hardware! ARRRGGGGG!!!!
That about sums up my excitement concerning the Zune. I'll stick with my Sansa e280 especially since I can run Rockbox on it.

I was worried that my wireless guitar would be seized if they lost ;-)
