  1. I'm not sure what schools you are talking about but many high schools have a minimum academics requirements and the larger the student body the more likely those academics requirements will be more strict.

    My retired neighbor opted in and opted out as soon as he realized it was supposed to save by turning it off when they thought most people would be at work.

    It's an opt in and it supposed to help costs and availability during peak hours... They even have those programs in the mid-west.

    You have never been to homedepot they start around $10 for a non-digital thermostat and go up...

    I very much enjoy messing with the scamers I got a call from the supposed IRS and I asked the guy if he could do the Microsoft tech support call instead because I found it really funny. After describing some of my favorite calls he said his boss was looking at him funny because he should have hung by now since I already knew. I haven't received any for a while.

  7. Before you start a diet like that you should talk to your doctor have your cholesterol, CMP/BMP, and whatever other tests they may think necessary checked and a long talk about eating habits. There may be a lot of contributing factors that make dieting difficult or not work but you won't know unless you check.

    I've had that conversation with my doctor before and found that a lot of the foods I like that I thought were really bad weren't as bad as I thought.

    Haven't long distance runners been blood doping for a long time by taking their own blood and later putting back... to increase the amount of oxygen they can carry. I would imagine that the effect would be similar except the recipient is never short a pint just a pint heavy and what ever they may catch from the donor.

    Adultery is illegal in New York where gawker is located and in Florida where it happened although rarely prosecuted.

    Depending on which state they were in at the time it was recorded, remember that adultery is illegal in some states and can include jail time. In some states it's a crime without punishment and/or a cause for divorce without the expense of alimony.

    This could be a case were a public figure was engaged in a crime which is totally different.

    Opera used to have an asteroids extension that allowed you to shoot elements off the page... Anytime an ad made it through I would blow the website to hell..

    In the 70s the theater often times had much better visual and sound quality than what people had in their homes even expensive setups, Starwars and other movies just weren't the same on vhs or with commercials as it was in the theater. Today however even a cheap home theater can rival the experience when watching those movies digitally remastered on dvd or bluray commercial free.

    My son likes to go to movies in the park... they are outdoors a lot of teens show up but the movies are from the last couple years not first showings and the cost is only $5 and popcorn and soda will only run you $5 much cheaper than the theater.

    In the spring and fall when it's real nice outside we sometimes pull out the projector and set it up on an 100 inch screen in the back yard, watches the newer released dvds, and BBQ.

    Depending on your carrier you can log into their website or install an app on your phone and check the gps location of any phone on your account...

    I thought the point was that the pay was mostly incentive and that those payed a smaller incentives worked harder to get more which benefited the company more. What you are saying is that failing companies have to pay more because if they don't they can't employee people which may be a problem with more high profile people but not the point.

    I don't play the game or invest in nintendo but even I already knew this. My brother pointed out that Niantic had made another game he thought sucked the day it came out.

    if police illegally break into a house and find evidence a crime have been committed there the evidence is still real.

    At the point that the officer has broken the law any evidence they find is suspect and not credible just like evidence that does not have an unbroken chain of custody it can no longer be validated as fact.

    Mechanical engineering pays alright outside of silicon valley $100k/year in the mid-west will buy you a really nice house that would cost you half a million in CA.

  21. that's not to mention that most of the content on netflix wasn't recorded in 1080p those old TV shows from the 90s were most likely recorded in 480i

  22. If I actually had a TV that supported 1080 or was large enough to make it worth it I might be able to tell the difference in streams but not on my 39 inch that is 720p. I would need to have a 50 inch to make 1080 worth it at the distance I regularly view and that's just too big.

    I have had to deal with plenty of entry level people trying to fill senior level positions either they make it through the trial by fire or they don't. If those people you are hiring for their charisma you find leaving in less than a year chances are you need to rethink that strategy.

    My teenager and his friends have been playing... he even pulled his bike out of the shed so he could ride it while playing. I'm just glad he will have forgotten about the game in 5 months when he can get a driver's license not just a permit.
