Does the IE roadmap include at any point 100% W3C compatibility, or are there features in the standard that you do not ever intend on supporting?
Better yet.
Is there a roadmap for future versions of IE?
What can we expect from IE7 updates (just bug fixes)?
Will we have to wait another 5+ years for standards update?
A day or two after this information was revealed, HDMI.org went completely password protected and ATI is now modifying key areas of its website, removing any mention of 'HDCP-ready'."
does it really matter if they pulled the info from the site or not (regarding) a class suit?
I didn't say this. I said Perl had an incomplete object model. Since scalars and such aren't naturally objects in Perl, not all data types in Perl are objects. Therefore, Perl's object model is incomplete. QED.
I'm not saying perl is a bad language, personally I think it's great and very useful. But it is slower than C.
Well, I would say that anything but Assembly is slower than C.
a good C compiler brings the compiled code as close as possible to an optimized assembly code. You just cant beat that unless you have a well optimized assembly or a poorely written C code.
They really ported the games to linux, meaning that the games were linux pure binary with no "emulation" layer (even thought that WINE Is Not an Emulator).
They job were "simpler" because most of the time they had to translate direct3D to openGL (if the game did not have an openGL driver), DirectSound to OpenAudio (or something like that equivalent to openGL for sound that they created) and the rest of DirectX to SDL.
Basically the game source became mostly thru cross-plataform as openGL, OpenAudio and SDL can be run anywere.

Chess for Kids?

Yep. I know a lot people started playing and learning chess with Battle Chess. They just wanted to see the peaces ripping each other appart.
Even without knowing how to play they learned by try.
Later it came Battle Chess 3000 and then Star Wars Battle Chess or something like this.
Today there is Chessmaster 10 which has a kid module that teachs a kid how to play with full 3D animations.
And there is Majestic Chess. That was created by the original author of Chessmaster and has a really interesting adventure game to teach how to play chess. Really interesting even for advanced players. here is a Review.
the Gallery 2 framework is particularly interesting because it's written with modern programming patterns (OOP, extreme programming, test driven development, MVC, factories, modularity,...)
If they still have not got the basics:
Warning: mysql_connect(): Too many connections in/usr/www/website/drupal.gallery2.org/includes/data base.mysql.inc on line 31
Too many connections
Every PHP+MySQL HowTo^H^H^H^H^Htutorial explains that
mysql_pconnect() should be used.
Most people doesn't about it yet, but ionice is a life saver on io bounded tasks (as oposed to nice in cpu bounded tasks).
That's probably because most distributions does not enable it in the kernel yet.

I am not rereading the specification, so I might be wrong.
SPF probably checks the Envelope Address and not the From: address which are not the same.
The envelope address is the address that the SMTP client says to the server who is the sender,
the From: address is what is in the message header.
Simply altering the Envelope Address to a valid mail from your server and google wont complain anymore.
My suggestion is dont use forums. Use mail lists instead.

I was expecting something like 0x4, 1x6.
;)
So 0x2 the test maybe was succesfully.

isn't this info is in the card's box?

ok,
but why does it have to be?

zzzz.... Thats the poorest argument I have ever seem about perl's OO implementation.
Why does an OO language needs to implement scalars, hashes and arrays as objects to be a trully OO language?!?
wow, that was a flashback.
I remember when I first learn Z80 assembler I wanted to move a sprite
in screen 2 using the arrows keys, because it was too damn slow in BASIC.
The result was that it was just too fast to follow.
Good days

so, is anyone using openCA ?
How does it compare to other solutions metioned here?
- Microsoft PKI
- RH Certification System
- tyneCA
- phpCA
You could try it and find out :)
Unfortunally Slashdot's lameness filter consider this junk.
So here is my contribution to obfuscation in perl: http://www.dias.com.br/
Correction.
It is not "this book would serve".
This book (along with UNP I and II on the other side) is the cornerstones in my bookshelf.
:)
The parent post should get some Funny moderation scores.
You probably know this already,
but have you tried computer board games, like CHESS?
Every time I play chess I amaze myself, be it on Yahoo! or on Chessmaster X.
Most Hotmail users use it because it is free, or they don't know about the alternatives.
Well, AFAIK, you need a hotmail account in order to use MSN Messenger now.
There was a Battle Chess like DOS game themed with Starwars characters.
It was StarWars Chess.
Please, correct me if I am wrong.
Isn't the internet IPv4 only and IPv6 is archieved thru
encapsulations like The 6Bone ?
If so, what's the point of worring about sites not being in the 6bone?
If I am wrong, can you post some links please?
Thanks
The sum to all digits turns to be 49.
there is no function to it.
The variable in f(x) as f(1), f(2) is the x position of a ten digit number that sums to be 49.
With a tiny perl program it turns to be: 5966290435
This is in position 128 in the exp(1) number.
Anyone knows the hardware specs to run it into low, medium, high and extreme quality?
Other than the latest 3d card, what is the cpu/mem requirements?
will a FX5950 and a 6800 run it the same way, or will the 6800 really outpeform the 5950?
"Let's face it folks, Duke Nukem Forever isn't coming out. 8 years for one game?"
Of course it is.
You just have to wait Forever....
