When I read the phrase "whales" I was reminded of the movie Boiler Room, about a fraudulent brokerage firm that tried to pump up the value of stock and sell them to suckers and the crossroads of stupid and rich were named, "Whales."
Is it immoral? Who knows. Is it illegal? that's for the courts to decide. am I going to spend my money there? Hell no.
To be fair to the parent, Symbian and Nokia products in general are becoming less popular in Nokia's own back yard.
What business types need to consider is whether or not it's going to be worth it for Nokia to keep pumping out Symbian/MeeGo/$futureOSHere or to just jump ship and start shipping Android or Windows Mobile.
Sure, market share's a great number to consider but it's only one factor when you also consider profit margins and consumer enthusiasm.
The difference being that I can't bzip2 an Armani suit and give one to all my friends.
Some level of copyright and patent protection -must- exist. I don't think the Pirate Bay should go away but I do think that the guy in the seedy shop at the local indoor swap meet shouldn't be allowed to make $9 bucks on a $1 burn of Iron Man 2 or Eat, Pray, Love(On the contrary, I don't think that anyone should make money on EPL; it's like Fight Club, for Women(Sad white people with no perspective taking it out on the world)).
What are you basing this on? Gold hasn't been historically used as an item of trade. Historically it's been skins, meats, salt, crops, and other things you use to get by. Gold is a relatively recent good and if the world goes to hell, the last thing you'd want.

John Moltz pegs it.
Apple Insider's just throwing smoke.
So I guess Jedi who search for information on Motorola's landmark Android product are screwed?
SMB3 All Stars version is worth the SMB1/2 quirks TBH. It's even better than the GBA Mario Advance 4.
I thought the 6502 was a Motorola reference design?
The package is 2,500 yen, which is about 5 bucks a game with a 5 buck CD and booklet.
Plus SM All Stars isn't on Wii Virtual Console either.
it's just a Wii port of Mario All Stars that came out in the US for SNES, same graphics and all.
The booklet and the soundtrack seem interesting packins though.
I mean, that's my point. They're getting actual services in exchange for money; it's not a complete freaking scam.
Whether or not those services are worth a damn or not, that's up to the consumer, but, it's not like Zygna's running a pump and dump scheme.
it's a service in exchange for money.

Is that "I'm mad ass hell, and I'm not going to take this any more" in Norsk? :)

they're just lousy about anything relating to sex.

Depends on the market. In the US, they're targeting Blackberry. Abroad, it's kind of a crapshoot.
I thought Julia Roberts was brilliant in Ocean's 12. She's a good actress, but she's not used to her full potential.
Windows Phone 7 really has one target and that's to be more usable, more enterprise friendly and more stable than BlackBerry 6.
If they're seriously targeting iPhones, I suspect a Zune like adoption rate. If they're targeting BB, they may have a hit on their hands.
No, I don't think that's the right approach, mostly because ChromeOS has a little bit more to offer as a desktop OS for thin clients or netbooks.
They need to make ChromeOS run Android apps.
Android was designed from the beginning to fight with guys like RIM and Microsoft, and to a lesser extent, Palm.
iOS on the other hand, was inteded for a tablet style device.
Oops.
Reading fail. :(
last thing I want to do, if I have to go back to a dumb phone, is to get into a heated argument and have it detect me screaming as a sign to hang up.
Yeah, but, no.

Citizens United vs FEC.
Supreme Court said that campaign financing was a 1st amendment issue and corporations could flood as much money as they want into elections.
No, it probably won't.

Gold is backed by precisely magic and wishes.
Fiat currency skips the shiny fucking rocks and goes right to the magic and wishes.
