    This seems an awful lot of money to host a minecraft server, and this needs to be on 24/7?
    I see giving your gaming computer a hardware boost as a better use of your money rather than running minecraftd on a standalone machine

    I would imagine this is part of a service where you download your games instead of purchasing discs, so it would want to check in to make sure you haven't tampered with the software.
    It would be unrealistic and unnecessary to have a constant internet connection the entire time you are using the device.
    Connecting back every day or week is not going to break the lolz

    Also who are these people without reliable internet? I used to live in AUSTRALIA, the asshole of the world and even there we had 100mbit cable

    Why do particle accelerators seem to have such a short shelf life?
    Is this it for the LHC? Im surprised that they are already looking for something larger, to study something that the LHC was aiming at doing.
    I am not a scientist, but I do find this stuff incredibly cool.

    I got a whopping great big aluminium heatsink custom made for an old hp ultra small last year took the cover off and stick it directly on the cpu, it wasnt pretty but it worked a treat, stuck it in a cupboard and forgot about it
