    I complained about a Dell ad a few years ago when they claimed to be the fastest PC. This was at the time when Apple was running the snail adverts. I got a letter back from the advertising standards council saying that the letters PC related only to machines with Intel chips in them and even if Apple machines were faster it didn't matter because Dell made PCs and Apple didn't.

    The original iMacs had fans (my mum has one), it was a year or so later when the fan less ones came out (my auntie has one).

    Mail for Mac OS X can learn junk mail addresses and trash them for you. It can also bounce mail back to the sender. Like another poster here I usually find the sender doesn't exist.

    Wow, amazing what two year olds can do!

    My son was born this century (last week actually) but all he can do is look at the iTunes visualizations. He will get an old Mac Plus but not for about a year.

    I still had it open in an Omniweb window when it was pulled so I saved it as a PDF (on Mac OS X). If someone with big bandwidth wants it reply here, I don't want my iTools account slashdotted.

    Canon make USB powered scanners. They are slim and would easily fit in a briefcase. There are OS X drivers available. I've got at a CanoScan N670U on my iMac and it works fine. There is X OCR software available but I don't have any.

    This was part of Roddenberry's pitch to the production company. He suggested that similar conditions (class M planets) would result in similar organisms.

    This would save money on makeup.

    In OS X anything which can print can create a PDF, not just Mail.

    I could be wrong, I could be right (I could be black I could be white) but as I remember you can't hide information in a jpeg because of the lossy compression.

    You don't need to have the iPod mirror iTunes, that's just the default position. You can set it to manually select the tunes you want to transfer and it would be quite possible to have more storage space on the iPod than on your computer. You can also use the tunes on your iPod from within iTunes if you leave it connected.
