Is this to say that electric engines don't have enough "horsepower", torque and can't be used for towing? I always thought that electric engines were the pinnacle of torque and power. Hence Diesel Electric freight trains (obviously not economical for a passenger car or even tractor trailer), and such. The only thing holding them back is range, recharging time and cost.
Wierd, I thought that was the best part of FFXII, the new Battle System. If they took that battle system and the way you could explore the world and stuck it with the plot from FFX they would have the perfect game imo.
I want to be the guy that gets to dump alll the "junk" into the mall and watch little teenie boopers try to figure out what a fulcrum is good for, instead of spending 19 bucks on a Justin Timberlake CD.
I've seen some of the people that shop there, better yet the people that would buy computers there. These people aren't the finest genetic specimens on this planet, and I am simply amazed this PC is actually selling well. But none the less that is great, anything to make the market less of a monopoly is a plus.
I have tried Mplayer and I must say I find it rather buggy. A good alternative is xine, which has made great improvements in the lastest releases. But as always try for yourself:
I just wish they would give it up, its only a matter of time when they come out with some type of copy protection, that someone will come up with a way of defeating it. Meanwhile we (the consumer) suffer because we get things like cd's we can't play in our computer.
I love apple for its hardware, its marketing, everything except the Operating System. I recognize it's strengths, but for some reason I just can't get into and I wish I could for hardware's sake =-)
People actually buy cd's at best buy? Frankly I find the 18 dollars is way too much to pay for a cd, when I do buy cd's I usually go to the local small record store and pick it up for 13 bucks at most.
I don't find it suprising most of you claim not to care because we'll be out of oil in 30 years or because the population of iceland is less then most US cities. American is big and bad gets old and makes us seem ignorant to the rest of the work. But I do think you have to give them at least some credit for at least looking in the right direction if not taking one step that way.
Well I am sure your opinion might be different if you weren't from canada, and I do admit all the acronyms in the US are boring and get annoying to hear on the news and read in newspapers. FBI, (blah)PD, ATF, CIA, (blah)FD and so on and so forth..
I don't even use mozilla, I can't see a good reason too when Opera is around. The only thing I ever celebrate is when a new stable kernel is released, which seems to be many moons ago...
I agree, everyone would like to cheer since microsoft lost a court case, but the fact here is that they are an isp and the lost a somewhat major case about what they were hosting, hopefully this doesn't open up smiliar court cases against isp's everywhere.
Go back to the basics, the first game was amazing. I'm not quite sure what happen after.

Thats good and all, but how often does the office freeze over? How about a fire proof tape? ;)

This must be the worst article posted I have seen on slashdot in a long time...
We've includes most consumers but none of the "industry" who gets overpaid to waste time coming up with ways to degrade out products.
