When I was in high school, it was always the fault of the older or physically larger student - regardless of witnesses, past behaviors, etc. I got in trouble even if someone ran up to me, punched me, and ran away before I could react just because I was a much bigger guy than most of the other students. Also points off against you if you're male in a male vs female dispute. Fortunately, there was only one non-white student in my highschool (grades 7-12) and he got along with most people, so racism never entered into it.
I don't think you read my post before, so let me summarize: 1) T-Mobile doesn't get signal here 2) Even if T-Mobile did get signal, they're still a lot more expensive than Tracfone regardless of which network its actually on 3) The cost of it all is why I go with Tracfone... I don't give a damn about what network its actually on beyond coverage and nothing is locked down that I would use anyway 4) Relating to the original article, a text costs me about 2 cents, compared to 20 cents if you pay the major carrier (ATT in this case).
This is why I stick with Tracfone... I typically use 150-180 minutes per month, including 20-30 text messages (sending and receiving). I'd love to go with Verizon, as they're the only carrier with coverage in most of NY and would settle for ATT... except NONE of the major carriers offer plans that wouldn't be a huge waste of money to me. Even their pre-paid plans are considerably more expensive than Tracfone (I pay about 7 cents per minute, sending or receiving a text counts as 0.3 minutes).
I always started with "Is it a woman?" before I went to alcohol or technology. Did an experiment with my girlfriend one time on a hundred mile stretch of Thruway. Every time we saw an erratic driver ahead, I could tell her whether or not it was a woman or old person long before we were within visual range of the driver. She still hates me for my near-100% accuracy.
Maybe not a terrorist, but surely a boy genius if he's a graduate student at 12 years old... or else you failed to make it so far as the second word of the summary. It your defense, maybe you actually read the article, in which case you would have had to make it all the way to the third word to see that he is in college.
I got the Nook Color... even if B&N (which as everyone else has said, is NOT Borders) went out of business tomorrow, it would still be an extremely useful device. Even without rooting it, it's a pretty decent tablet for $250 (I got mine for $180 from Overstock.com). And if you do root it, it's much more powerful than any other tablet I've seen in that price range.
I don't know about your state, but in New York speed limit and suggested speed signs are not only a different color, but a different size and shape as well
I get a page telling me that my browser "is no longer supported" and to download FF/Chrome/IE/Safari. Even when I tell Opera to identify as IE, I still get the page.
My biggest issue so far, beyond none of my friends having it yet, is that it doesn't support Opera. But by the same token, Facebook broke compatibility with Opera nearly every time they made a minor interface change. I stopped using FB for a year or so until they fixed the issues causing it to run horribly under Opera. Now FB runs equally horrible in all browsers.

Relax Mr. Sys Admin, the hacker has only been downloading your database for four hours. Relax Mr. Homeowner, your house has only been burning for four hours. Relax Facebook users, your information has only been sold off for four hours... errr... years. Relax Mr. Necrophiliac, she's only been dead for four hours.
I switched to Opera shortly after Firefox stopped being called Firebird. I found Firefox getting too bloated and clumsy... it felt more like IE than IE did. Haven't looked back at Firefox since. Opera 11 onward has pretty much solved all of the problems with some websites being incompatible, it also supports extensions now and the mail client built in is one of the best free clients out there (especially since Thunderbird's bloat has begun to increase exponentially). There's a few sites out there that refuse to run on Opera... but you can change Site Preferences in about 2 clicks to identify as Firefox or IE. Handy for idiot-run sites like Netflix that claim Opera isn't supported when it actually runs better on Opera. Give it a try... I wouldn't recommend it for your average user who does zero customization/options changing, but for anyone with a little geek in them, it's great
How do you account for different vehicles with different weights, braking distances, etc? It's like the yellow "suggested speed" signs they use on curves, etc. They're really only a good guideline for a small subset of vehicles (usually trucks or other top-heavy vehicles). A better idea imo is to do what I do... know the vehicle you're driving and as you approach each traffic light, pick a spot to say to yourself "If it's not yellow by the time I reach this point, I'm going to keep going". That way there's no split second decision on whether to slam on the brakes or go.

Except they're not doing it for safety or anything else except "better behavior". So no. Ben spoke thus not.
The difference between the Kobo and the Nook/Kindle is that Borders partnered with Kobo whereas B&N/Amazon developed their own ereaders. From what I can tell, the Kobo is still going to be alive even if Borders turns to dust. Here's a nifty little article: http://techcrunch.com/2011/07/18/borders-may-be-dead-but-e-reader-kobo-is-still-alive-and-kicking/

By my very quick estimations, 6000 flights over 29 years comes out to him boarding a plane, on average, every 41 hours. For almost three decades.

A salute to the entire Opera team :) Now bonus points if you can make Opera mini/mobile available for the Nook Color without having to root the device.

I was eyeing one with bad intent
