I'm pretty sure someone just made up most of those for the article. Someone who doesn't actually chat online. I'm pretty sure only predators who read the article would use those acronyms, to get a reply back from the target - "WTF ur pwn3d".
And your average geek would love to have a WTF plate. If you're offended, unplug your dialup modem and stick to F2F IRL chatting at the senior center, lulz.
You will notice that the original Hipocratic oath was about serving the patient/sick, and didn't include anything about influence by outside parties. You will also notice that this oath is about influence of outside parties, and doesn't include anything about serving science.
If you move to where your job was outsourced, is it considered noncompetative?:)
You have to picture what noncompetes come down to as this statement: "You are good at what you do, someone with valuable skills -- and since we don't want you to do it for us anymore or you have chosen not to do it for us anymore, we don't want you to do it for anyone else. Have a nice day."
Funny how murders, rapists, and other actual crimes and criminals get less of a sentence than this.
The 38 years is cumulative and probably won't be what actually gets doled out, but still... Sad that demonstrating a little computer prowess to tweak grades sounds like it gets a worse sentence than hurting someone else.
The real challenge/merit is whether Opera 9.5 is accepted by webpages as being able to display all the content correctly, rather than insisting a component isn't there and demanding its download only to be told it's still not there.
That's my complaint about the last version or two of Opera (and I've been using it since 3.5), that I wind up having to break out IE or FF for some pages because just being adherent to the HTML 4 standard isn't enough of a claim anymore.
I spent last weekend wiping a stack of hard drives I'd accumulated so I can be charitable. They range from 500mb to 15gb. Guess it's a matter of opinion (and needs, as you point out) what is "too small".
And Tumbleweed [ http://ask.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=583611&cid=23786219 ], we can share the 1gb SCSI that sounds like a jet engine and 600mb Compaq IDE that clicks like a card in bike spokes... I haven't been skeet shooting since I was 15.:-D
I found one of those Amiga Joyboards (for the Atari 2600 -- the article misattributes) in a thriftstore and sold it online for three times what I paid for it, along with the Mogul Maniac cartridge. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joyboard
I think this only failed because... okay, how many other Amiga brand titles for the 2600 can you name without consulting the CAGS.FAQ or atariage.com?:)
Funny, the people whose free speech rights are being protected are very much against free speech. Say something about Mohammed or state a preference for a different sect, you'll hear from the more vocal folks in the group about how you don't have the right to say such things.
...to get videos and songs online that the labels linked to haven't bothered to make available for sale. Call it win-win. People get to see/hear this stuff, and the labels get interest expressed in something they'd presumed there was no further profit in offering.

That's how I've always felt (as an English minor)... that the stories of Homer were dated. :-D
Did the judge think, "why is a 12 year old girl posting on a singles board?"
Followed by, "Would I want MY kid to do that?"

How times have changed.
As opposed to 68 - "you do me and I'll owe you one."
Apparently -- but one a year. You can't rely on name carte blanche forever if you don't reinforce it.
But it's still not available for the 2600. Shame on you, Atari! :)
Blame Activision on that pitfall.

...which works wonders after 6pm. Try again.

...because every copy of Windows there is pirated. :)

News will be back to normal shortly. ;-)
Thank you, I've been trying to tell that to people for years.
:-D
It's the dead turtle smell in Moses Hole, not rain, that one has to watch out for.

The government is not going to declare itself illegal. Even if, in some ways, it is. :)

If we don't talk about it, it'll go away. Shhh.
No security problem, not here. huh huh.
Whomever marked this "flamebait" chose the wrong F-word: factual.
If you take this as a political statement, that's your mistake.
This only if you were actually born. There's still extreme prejudice from on high if you're a fetus or stem cell.

Everyone will be a fat lesbian with a famously MILFy mom?

I was hoping someone would go there. Thank you!
