I vote with my wallet, too. The big name games are really tempting, but I find myself paying for DRM-free indie games. The worst game( in regards to DRM) that I've paid for in the last few years would be Minecraft, which requires a one-time login to play single and always a login for multiplayer.
I read an article in a magazine about using centrifuges to "[concentrate] the flavor molecules in a powerfully aromatic liquid layer that is ideal for cooking." I also love Sub Zero ice cream.
Despite the coolness and interesting factor, I doubt I will be going out and buying a centrifuge or a bottle of liquid nitrogen for my next meal.
DENNIS: I told you. We're an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We take it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week,... ARTHUR: Yes. DENNIS:...but all the decisions of that officer have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting... ARTHUR: Yes, I see. DENNIS:...by a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs,... ARTHUR: Be quiet! DENNIS:...but by a two-thirds majority in the case of more major-- ARTHUR: Be quiet! I order you to be quiet! WOMAN: Order, eh? Who does he think he is? Heh. ARTHUR: I am your king! WOMAN: Well, I didn't vote for you. ARTHUR: You don't vote for kings!
Don't forget Chrono(Trigger) Resurrection, as well as other projects(seems like there were more), that were allowed to go until near completion before receiving a C&D letter. While more justified than the PS3 hacker situation, they could have really pleased fans and made money while doing so.
I can't imagine that they didn't even discuss it. I would have liked to be in that meeting.
But I know that if it were my company, I'd be making deals instead of sending C&D letters. Especially if their content was good... which it usually is if it's made by a fan.
I still play Duke 3d with a good buddy of mine over the net. It was made possible by using eDuke32. Some games just never die off, we also still play Starcraft, Age of Empires and on very rare occasion we break out the NES.
It will definitely be interesting to see how consumers end up viewing huge discounts on these apps. I am sure there is some term in Economics for a person's willingness to factor a discount into the opportunity cost of not buying the product while it's on (a seemingly temporary) sale.
I use eduke32 for my duke3d needs!

That is one more than 6.
...in the wilderness for toiletries, the results could be shocking.
Oh, great job! Now it's 0.7 milliseconds of pay.
EA comes across as thin skinned and thick headed.

Also has to be said:

Oh shit you are right, my bad. I get Square mixed up with SCEA because I've seen many Squaresoft games for Playstation for so many years.

That's a long sentence for a freshly transplanted larynx. Couldn't she say something a little shorter? Like, for example, "Hello, world."

If my mom and aunt send me requests from AmoebaVille I will throw a fit.
Product not for children under the age of 6. http://games.slashdot.org/story/10/12/29/234205/Nintendo-Warns-3D-Games-Can-Ruin-Childrens-Eyes
