I didn't mean to sound like I was pointing out a flaw in your post or anything I was mearly agreeing with you by providing a quote that backed up what you posted. Sorry for any confusion.
just as much as Microsoft systems can be broken into without source available.
This is exactly the point that a lawyer makes in the article: "A lawyer for the states, Kevin Hodges, pointed out that many of the most destructive computer attacks in recent years have targeted Microsoft products regardless of whether Microsoft disclosed particular technical data."
There are those in the open source community who would be willing to help tighten the security of Microsoft products just as there as those who are more than willing to attempt to break them.
There's a related story here which mentions a Salon article about a Missouri judge who overruled a request for dismissal of an ordinance that would require kids under 17 to have parental consent before buying violent or sexually explicit video games.
If you are serious about contacting the judge you might want to try to go here (which gives a mini bio on Judge Limbaugh) and clicking the "Contact Us" link at the top right and contacting the Office of States Courts Administrator in Missouri.
I'm not "crying" about lack of GNOME coverage. I was simply observing that there was a whole heck of a lot more coverage on KDE than GNOME. And in fact I now realize why (thanks to a comment above) -- because the changes to KDE in this version of RedHat are far more significant (being that 7.2 came with KDE 2.x or whatever) than those to GNOME.
And I agree with you about desktop system coverage which is why I stated the following in the submitted story: "It's not the most complete review... focusing mainly on the install and desktop components".
So, now my #1 concern when looking for a new job is, "am I interested in what I will be programming?" If the answer is no, then no amount of "cool technology" or "cool workplace environment" can make it worthwhile.
Ah yes, but can no amount of money make it worthwile?
Most important to many of you is that we now can directly accept Credit Cards in addition to paypal.
As someone who has never used PayPal, the fact that Slashdot is directly accepting credit cards may be enough of a reason for me to subscribe. I use a debit card for online purchases so I never get a bill so this would be an effortless purchase.
I know this is highly off topic but I'm not sure where else to put this.
I was in the process of reading the story The Handspring Treo In Real Life when I discovered that part of the story text is blocked by the ad when the browser isn't maximized.
I don't maximize my browser here at work because I need to be able to switch back and forth quickly if need be (I think you know why!) so it's an annoying side effect of already annoying on page ads.
The directory structure leaves a little to be desired but search and ye shall find. It looks like the Red Hat 7.0 ISO's can be found here:
ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/releases/guinness/ iso/
Who said any different? The 'his' in the ./ story refers to the late Douglas Adams.
Seeing as it's been five months since the questions were asked I had to do a quick scan-through and make sure that they were all still relevant!

I posted a suggestion (which I won't repeat here) about contacting the judge here.

You can find some code examples of the Ruby language (as well as several other languages) here.

It has KDE 3 now.
Is this the reason that Suse 8 "kicks butt on RedHat"? Because RedHat has KDE 3 now as well.

many couples like to go to the magnetic North Pole to conceive their children.
So that's why my m515 is always wiggin' out on me!
And my parents said that I was born in Jersey!
Fortunately most people in a video game store are like 12, so I can destroy them with my mind bullets.
Someone's been listening to a little too much Tenacious D lately!
From the song Wonderboy
"how bout the power to kill a yak from 200 yards away? WITH MIND BULLETS!!! Thats telekineses Kyle."

So which was it... a mistake or an experiment?
It is a mistaken experiment that Amazon is trying to cover up now that it's been discovered.
