Agreed. What i was trying to point out was that there infact are bad things on the internet. It's not only good things you can find there to educate you and your children etc..

Are you not aware of how many sick things can be found on the net? The article clearly states that they are trying to ban the bad stuff not the good stuff which can help in making the kids grow up into better people.

I don't know if it's a good or bad thing to try to censorship the internet but there are sure as hell a lot of things we could do without on the net.

So i think the only thing you need to think about is if you are happy at your current job or not. If you are stick to it. If not try the other one.

I mean it is obvious that WinX is not the best sollution becourse there will always be new games which will not work. Also porting is a lot of work to do for every new game.

I wonder if it is possible to write something like a new programming language which can then compile the games easely for Wintendo and Linux. I think that the game producers will be happy if there is such a programming language, so there games will work on any OS. Sure thing they will have a lot of work at the beginning but for the future this should be nice to have.

Anyone know if it is even possible to write a language which can do this???

I mean in the theory you have unlimited frequencies to transmit data with but this data must somehow be handled. So it's more a matter of in and output into the fiber lines.

    Am i wrong???

What i'm speaking about is the readability of the code. Not what happens when the code is executed/ interpreted/ etc.. Same thing with the HTML wrapper classes. I'm realy curios if you are just to dump to understand or what. Sure i know that in the background some HTML tags get send to the Browser. The idea is that YOU don't have to do it yourself. Again that has something to do with the readability of your code.

My hole reply was ONLY about the readability of JSP vs. Servlets. So please, the next time you feel the need to reply, try to understand what the article is about.

in Germany. I don't know how this is handled in the US but in Germany it does not realy matter what you study.

You study to expand your mind and to show that you are capable to learn and use stuff which you need at work.

The only thing that matters is what you realy can. In the extreme you even don't need to study if you somehow can evince what you can.

So i would say go into CIS and use your extra power to learn a few extra things or maybe to get a job.

For that matter that you have already worked in a company and have some experience in teamwork etc. is more important than what you study or your degree.

Maybe the reason is that i've already done similar things and things which seem trivial to me seem difficult to you?

  12. Should be no problem on Converting From Oracle To DB2? · · Score: 1

The first problem would be to somehow import your Databases to DB2. Oracle offers quite some methods to export data and in the meanest case you must export to a txt file and than import everything into DB2. This should only take a few days.

The part about the Code is up t the code. In jdbc you sould only need to adapt the Database driver. This should be only one line of Code in each Application. I think C and C++ should be the same. So if you are lucky this should also take only a few days.

Considering possible mistakes and some evaluation time you should hopefully only need 1-2 weeks

The only reason to use CDR's is to transport Data (and maybe backup's) and normaly 650M should be enough. So a DVDR makes only sens if you need more than 650M. And even than DVD has a long way to go until there is a standard and ever DVD can read any DVDR.

So i think until there is no standard for DVD's there is no market for it. And even than i don't think that a few crack's who want to copy movie's and people who need to store great amount's of data on a transportable media will be enough to drop the price on a level where DVDR's will be a mass-produced article.
