The article reads like it is mainly in game players roving around as thugs. If it is in game, I don't think that actions outside of the game universe should effect it. I think the solution would be to hire guards or taking Ankh Morpork example start paying the thief's guild protection money and make them responible.:)
How long till "Real-Time Active Census?"

How long till the get the bright idea to keep "updating" the census data in real-time? They could just say that they are tring to improve their "data set."
Oh, now if we could just convience Nintendo to sell Mac or Linux Games... Nah. Never would happen unless the next Nintendo Platform ran off of Linux. Stranger things have happened.
Do you want to outlaw all phone books? That sounds exactly what this is for Ham radio operators. From the info listed, there doesn't seem to be any additional info that isn't listed in a phone book. If one pays enough, one can get that data "legally."
I'd love to buy thin clients some day. I have 2 kids and a wife. I'd love 4 or 5 thin clients and 2 home servers. One would be a media database / fileserver / print server. The other server I'd want powerful enough to run any current windows game on all five of the thin clients. I'd want the cost of the thin clients to be about $150-$200. $200 * 5 = $2000. Of course the two servers would most likely each cost atleast that much.
Just by baen. Thats it. Go out and buy war of honor and the Hell's Faire. Even if you hate the books, buy it for the CD you get atleast 8 different types of books with it. Most good. The major reason I bought those books was because of the CD.
I like reading works with magic in it. I'd love to read something of possible magic instead of entirely fanstsy universes.
Has anyone ever read Perry Rhodan novels? Those had magic in them. O.k. really really advanced tech. I believe anything is possible. People don't want space novels like 2001, boring boring boring. No real plot. People want space novels like Honor Harrington or March Up Country.
Most don't care about cool tech just to have a story about tech. They want good/great stories that just so happen occur else where.
I have one relative that I know is getting a PS2 for his Christmas present. I don't really care about Sales as such. I remember in the NES and SNES days I played one or two different games a week. Did I buy them? NO! I went to Blockbuster. (Though they are alot more expensive these days.) I had lots and lots of different types of games to choose from. That is why Nintendo is still around because of the sales of all those games. I actually bought a few N64 Games. I'm not really happy with that though because of the about of real RPGS released on the system... 0 in my mind. I got really mad at Nintendo for allowing Square to release FF for playstation. That was my main reason for buying a PS2 to play all the FF stuff for PS1!
If I ever get a game cube it will be because of my kids. They are getting to the point were they like to play video games. I might not like the themes of Nintedo stuff in general, but hey its is stuff that I grew up on and I don't mind my kids playing on that platform. I'll most likely stick with Sony for my stuff though.
At one point in time, I was hard-core Nintendo. NES, SNES, & then I bought a N64. Actually N64 was o.k., but everything that I wanted to play was on Playstation. I wanted a PS2 mainly as a DVD player and PS1. The PS2 was all bonus... I won't go out and buy. I will buy several of PS2 games for $15-$20 that I couldn't afford at $40-$55 each.
Considering I had a three year old screaming "I want to watch Iron Gaint" through the first half and the last quarter "Blues Clues Blues Clues". The show looked visually very good... audio I'm sorry I missed most of that.
I didn't think those were Vulcans... Come on now Vulcans are far better at controlling their emotions... It would be much better if they were Romlans that would give Earth the excuse for a war.
These new villians I'm not sure about. I think they'll have to be talking about genetic engineering alot. Wasn't their supposed to be an age that alot of people on earth got geneticly engineered. I think I remember that it was later made illegal. This could be a great time for that.
I think it would be a good idea to have one id, instead of a divers lic., s.s.n., and other numbers. Why not any easy system to remember? a 8 digit number for the birth date, a 5 digit zip code for your place of birth, a 5 digit zip code for where you live, a 5 digit personal number, and a 3 digit national security risk number.
A nice 26 digit number that changes everytime you move!! he he he
I think the easiest solution is to require all foreigners to have to have fully biometric id card, and require full background checks for them. I know the easiest way to cheat a background check is to never do anything wrong, but those that bombed the WTC did have criminal records. I think it easiest if we just ban foreigners from getting on domestic flights. Then we have to wait for more timothys...
After all the hyping of the movie, I went out and read the book! It took me three days to get through the 1000 pages, but it was worth it. After finishing the first 100 or so pages, I relized the only way the movie could be like the book is if it was 6 or 7 hours. Actually the book is long enough for three movies. Where to stop one and start the other though is a mystery.

Population Control Bah, They'd just stop using the damn things.
Please, don't insult Nintendo like that!

Me Og invent use for rock as chair and no one else may use this idea without paying me 1 unit of food.

Profit.

Hey it would be fun to watch them have a little Cyberwar as long as we aren't involved...

O.k. It was a nice little article till the end. How many people think in terms of elephants? Why not oil tankers or cars or finger nail clippings?
