Cancer Cured By HIV

Of course not. That just goes to prove that real advances and cures only come about when there is a substantial amount of money to be made. Curing cancer is a waste of time to these companies. The logic (oversimplified of course), sounds a lot like this:
"What?! someone's found a way to cure cancer?!"
"Yup."
"Can we make money on this?"
"Well we could for a few years... Then it goes the way of the common cold"
"Clearly for the good of the people... We should make sure that this gets NO FRIGGIN FUNDING AT ALL!"
"Well I guess we could do the ol' -- 'Reefer Madness' game on this... It seemed to work last time"
"OK... Sounds good! But make sure we get some really good marketing on this one!"
Yeah that sounds about right... Kind of hard to argue against that logic when there is no attempt to really hide the facts.
I do not believe you know what you speak of. You are provided with the tools you need to do your job. I am awfully sorry that you are no longer allowed to watch YouTube or work on your MySpace/FaceBook page, but those are the breaks. If you are not one of "those people", the you are the exception... Not the rule. However, based upon your previous statement "I'm Less inclined to do my job...", you are the latter and not the former. Since I speak in general terms, I hope you understand this is a general statment which is often true of most end-users. Watch YouTube or go to your favorite joke/streaming media sites at home.
MORE HARDWARE STORE!!! yay... I am happy about that. Way to go Al! Actually it is a great idea to releas as you record. Kind of gives you an idea about what the masses truly want... And that is... MORE AMISH PARIDISE!!!!! yay! Al is a talented individual. When I hear some of his songs, it really sounds as if he is having fun in the studio whilst recording the tracks. MORE LIKE A SURGEON!!!!! yay!!
This might have something to do with that fact that the voting system is plagued with the same issues as the Diebold version. It sure appears as though this system and all the others have something against the public at large. I mean seriously! What is wrong with letting the people actually vote? Do these companies have that much disgust for the American people that so much effort would be put into screwing them and then not making any effort to deny that probles exist in their systems? That my friends, is truly dad indeed
This is one of the reasons why schools across the nation are graduating dumber and dumber children that subsequently come into the workforce and degrade goods and services because the basic academics are not taught. This simply shows that the school officials are more concerned with ridiculous and trivial details that truly have no bearing on the academic front. More concern with kids feeling good about learning only what is going to be on a test instead of just teaching the kids what they need to know. Changing the language is purely semantics. It would seem quite a bit easier to let the school teach the evolution side of the story and let the churches teach the creationism side of the story. After that let the kids decide for themselves. It is silly to just change the language to "scientific theory". It does however, lend itself to causing more confusion which creates an even lower quality graduate. Idiocracy is coming true!!! "It has Electrolytes!" Just my opinion though.
The simple answer to that is NO! you will not be able to beat a warlock 1v1... You will still be pummeled by their pet. Only twice as fast! (this is a joke)
Of all the pollution issues that need to be addressed, "light" pollution is really a bit of a stretch. Alright, turning off a few lights or having *giggle* "dark sky friendly" light (or whatever they are called)seems to wander into the realm of the absurd and make itself comfortable. Let me see... Ummm... You have an educational system that place their main focus and concern on how the students feel about themselves instead of focusing on academics and whose standards are so low that the schools are now graduating young adults who barely have the mental acuity to work a fry cooker at the local fast food joint but feel ok about themselves and we as a people should be concerned about the lights we use in our homes and streets as a form of pollution? This is not an issue or a cause to be taken seriously. So it seems that the logic here is: "let us all use "dark sky friendly" lights so we cannot see the real pollution and this will all go away and seem like a bad dream. I believe that we can find better issues to deal with than "light pollution". It is similar to going to an emergency room with a gunshot wound to the chest and complaining about a hangnail. Priorities people... Priorities.
Please allow me to assist you with this issue you seem to be having. First off, it appears that you do not have any children. If you did, more than likely you would not have stated that. So I will point it out for you. Everything and I do mean EVERYTHING is image based to a ninth grader. Especially how one looks to other people. More specifically, to one's own peer group. It has nothing to do with "free thinking". That comes with time maturity and a bit of wisdom. So please stop talking out of the side of your neck.
Did you not read the article? They were arrested for selling (there the key word) the modded XBoxes with about 15 preloaded games on it. After that they people can download more for free. Last I checked that was illegal.
It still does not take away from the fact that AT&T Wireless has, by far the worst customer service I have the displeasure to experience. I hope cingular can fix that...
I have no problem with legitimate use. What I speak of is the average 13 year old who believes that this is something that they can getaway with. That is what I speak of.
"Avoid the fallacy of assuming..." What fallacy? What is the purpose of "Joe Somebody" digitally imaging currency? The law states that this is illegal. It seems simple enough. Besides jail time does not suit me well at all. Although you can go right ahead and enjoy yourself, if that is what you want to do.
What is the purpose of making copies or image editing the currency? Other than the occasional prankster I just do not see the need for being able to view currency under those conditions. Counterfitters are getting better and better at doing what they do. So knowing that, why shouldn't the government want to prevent the the "average" person from being able to buy a piece of software and with a small amount of creativity create a "just good enough" reproduction of our currency. The government seems to have enough trouble catching the really good counterfitters. I just do not see how not being able to scan in or image alter currency becomes a privacy issue when this is something that we are not supposed to do in the first place.
I agree. Though a great way to identify potential threats and to act as a bit of a deterrent to those who might want to hurt the U.S. in some way. Unfortunately the system itself is inneffective if we do not apply this rule to all who come into this country. If we are looking not to offend anyone that is just too damn bad. A minor inconvenience, but if properly applied and the system prevents one attempt at any shady activity, then it is worth it. Something like this should have no effect on how we in the U.S. deal with other countries.
I find it interesting that you say that. Though you might not agree with the politics of the current administration, I do think that you should be a bit understanding that you even have the ability to say that without fear of any retaliation. You do not have to look over your shoulder when you express your opinions. In my opinion I am happy with the fact that you have the right and freedom to formulate your opinions and post them. I would like to see what your behavior would be like if after you posted your barely intelligible comment you find yourself being moved to another location on the run from the authorities coming to end your life for posting "anti-government/regime" comments. I understand that you do not agree, but I would think that you could find better ways to say what you had to sa without the use of "You fucking dittohead Coulter-wanking moron" or "BUSH IS A CRIMINAL, YOU FUCKING IDIOT" -- Those comments are usually made by someone who has a limited intelligence and an even more limited vocabulary. All that however, is just my opinion.
I do believe the headline on this was "The Definitive Episode 3 SPOILER Synopsis" (note the emphasis on the term SPOILER) I kind of thought that this was a dead give away. Though I might be mistaken. Besides there is always a chance the the movie will not only depend on the special effects to carry it like many other movies tend to do. -- Just an opinion --
I can't understand why a violent game would affect the personality of a kid supposing that the kid clearly understands that what he/she is playing is just a game
That's just it. A lot of the children that go into the stores for these "violent" games are unable to make the distinction between reality and game reality. The function of the parent in this particular case is to accept responsibility for their child and his or her actions. If the parents feel that killing and running over innocents in GTA is ok, so long as it keeps the "kid occupied", then there is a real problem with that. What most of the so called "parents" are failing to realize is that they are giving up another "privilige" of being a parent to a group of strangers who really could not care less about who the kid is and what the kid does. You are a parent. Your job is to guide your children and keep watch over EVERY GAME they will bring into your home. Last I checked, it is not the government's job to raise and guide your children and tell you what is best for your family. If you allow your children to obtain these violent games or you do not guide them when they do have them, I would then ask that you not be suprised if they begin to act out on others what they do in a video game. You children become stupid because you were too lazy and too stupid to do your job and be a parent instead of a "cool friend" to your children.
I find it rather odd that MS is stating that this would be a lack of freedom of choice. It goes back to the issue of being able to support a product properly and making it robust so that the same issues of difficult implementation and security do not arise -- Seemingly on a minute by minute basis. There is something to be said about loyalty to a product that works and works well. As I too have been told by MS support that the root cause of my issue has been my Linux install (dual-boot) without having really focused on the issue I had.
Back in ye olden days of television, commercials and ads would air before and after the program -- not during! Now a viewer cannot go barely five minutes into a tv program when all of a sudden the viewer/consumer is subjected to "that not so fresh feeling?" type of commercial. So let me pose this question to the advertising/marketing industry. Is it any wonder that the consumer is shelling out their hard earned dollars to obtain a device that allows them to skip those retarded GAP commercials that make no sense and have nothing to do with the actual product itself? I do believe that in the case of advertising... Simpler is better. The marketing industry needs to stop trying to justify its' existence and allow the consumer to make the decision on the products that they "need". Not what you shove down our throats. We know what adult diapers are and I am so happy that grandpa can shoot hoops with little Timmy and pick him up for the dunk without the two of them have a joint leaking session! Please let me enjoy the show without the interruptions.
